There should be a reasonable upper financial threshold for reservations, but absolutely no compromise on merit. Opportunity must remain accessible to those who genuinely deserve it.

The best way forward should be to integrate the current reservation system with well-defined EWS criteria, so that genuine economic disadvantage is addressed while ensuring no compromise on merit. Social justice and merit must go hand in hand

Just a point to ponder. I know that it was Dr Rajendra Prasad, chair of Constituent Assembly elected on 11.12.1946, under whose leadership our constitution was formulated. Dr Ambedkar was a chair of drafting committee. So, Dr Prasad gave us the Constitution. Didn’t he???

I wonder why Trump doesn’t inform the counties he brokers a truce for. He didn’t tell India and Pakistan. Again, he did not inform Israel and Iran. If he had, they would have not wasted their expansive missiles. They are playing with his Nobel Peace prize. What a Shame!!!
