This #TILTuesday, we are honored to share the story of Ed White, an acral melanoma patient and his wife and caretaker, Antoinette, whose advocacy and resilience helped change the course of his journey.

After being diagnosed with this rare subtype of melanoma, Ed faced limited treatment options. Tumor-infiltrating lymphocyte (TIL) cell therapy became a lifesaving opportunity.

But their story is not only about treatment. It is also about determination.

Antoinette stood beside her husband every step of the way — asking questions, seeking options, advocating for access to care and refusing to give up. Together, they remained focused on one essential truth: keeping your spirit high matters.

TIL cell therapy played a critical role in Ed’s outcome, but so did the power of partnership, persistence and hope through caretaking.
