Cities are powered by creativity, bold ideas, shared experiences, and strong opinions. Nothing brings those out like public art. The artist JR and I wrote in @TribuneDimanche about the importance of public art and the new installation La Caverne du Pont Neuf, which pays tribute to the original wrapping of the Pont Neuf by @ChristoandJC 40 years ago, while creating something entirely new for the city and its visitors. https://t.co/60rm3eu3wK
I was honored to receive @TheRoyalFamily King Charles III and Queen Camilla at the @Sept11Memorial today. We met with family members and first responders and laid a wreath in remembrance of those who gave their lives to save others. We will never forget.
Reading today's @WSJ Page One "A-hed" story by @IsabelleBiscuit about the Bloomberg Terminal in both the paper and on @TheTerminal, where it was one of the most read stories yesterday...
That's kinda meta...

Tom Freston spent his career redefining the modern media landscape, shaping American culture, and traveling the world. I was glad to join him at PAC NYC to celebrate the release of his new memoir, Unplugged: Adventures from MTV to Timbuktu.
Every year, @KristofImpact highlights a few deserving organizations doing life-changing work through the #HolidayImpactPrize.
This holiday season, @BloombergDotOrg is glad to team up with @NickKristof and match the incredible generosity of his readers to these non-profits: https://t.co/OFd4w6EmBQ
Clean energy investment is at record highs & clean energy costs are at record lows. Brazil is seizing the moment with an ambitious agenda built on public-private partnerships that promote clean growth, create good jobs, & improve quality of life. World leaders arriving at #COP30 in Belém should take note. My latest in @valoreconomico: https://t.co/279o4yxQ8R
We owe a great debt to the generations of men & women who have served our country & safeguarded our democracy in the armed forces. This Veterans Day, I had the chance meet with & thank the military veterans who are part of our team at @Bloomberg and @BloombergDotOrg. We are grateful for their service - & their continued leadership.
From her leadership on the High Line and Little Island - to her role making the Meatpacking District a global fashion hub - to the work she led to bring more people to Liberty and Ellis Island - @DVF impact extends all through Lower Manhattan. I was glad to celebrate the one and only Diane von Furstenberg at tonight's PAC NYC Icons of Culture Gala — my wrap dress is at the dry cleaners.
In Paris today for a special moment - to celebrate Mayor @AnneHidalgo renaming a street in honor of visionary artists @christojeanneclaude. A lasting tribute to artists who reshaped how we see public spaces around the world.
Aggie Gund was simply the best. She was a true visionary: seeing the potential in people, identifying the best ways to make change, and understanding the essential role of kindness and curiosity in getting things done. I was lucky to know her and learn so much from her over the years. Mayor Bloomberg, Kate Levin and I were honored to partner with Aggie during our time in City Hall, and in subsequent years through @StudioinaSchool. Her work as a philanthropist will always inspire me, along with her commitment and creativity — and that wonderful smile. https://t.co/JB4uPV0z0E
New York City has lost one of our most tireless, generous, and big-hearted champions: my dear friend Aggie Gund. As one of the art world's great collectors and patrons, she was passionate about supporting young and unknown artists. The organization she founded to promote the arts in classrooms, @StudioinaSchool, has benefitted low-income students for nearly five decades. Her dedicated service to @MuseumModernArt, the City's Cultural Affairs Commission and so many other arts organizations, and her deep devotion to work involving social justice, health, and the environment, have had a profound impact on our city and far beyond. We will miss her immense generosity, creativity and leadership. https://t.co/hh1Zayl9I2
We'll never forget: Twenty-four years ago today, we lost our Bloomberg colleagues Peter Craig Alderman, William H. Kelly Jr., and Paul Ortiz Jr., who were attending a conference at Windows on the World. We also lost Chris Hanley, a former Bloomberg employee who was one of my first friends at the company.
This 2021 piece on Bloomberg Opinion tells part of their stories, drawn from conversations with people who knew them.

Make Every Day Count. It’s a mantra that drives our work at @BloombergDotOrg. In our new Annual Report, I write about how we’re bringing that approach to solutions that can save and improve lives around the globe. https://t.co/vUULZS5jvk
In just a few months, @RobertKennedyJr has helped bring a pox upon the country — and until Republicans get serious about holding him accountable, more Americans will die, and the president’s legacy on health and safety will be badly tarnished. https://t.co/0OmL36r7rw
I've had the good fortune of knowing @CapehartJ since he was a columnist at @business 25 years ago, and of watching him move from success to success since then. I was glad to help him celebrate the release of his new book "Yet Here I Am," and that the world now has a chance to read the inspiring stories from his life and career.
