[NEWS] #KimSoohyun 3.9 Billion Won Lawsuit Hearing Resumes, Ends in 5 Minutes as Court Says Issues Need Clarification

The Civil Division 14 of the Suwon District Court held the third hearing for a damages claim case worth 3.96 billion won on the morning of June 10. The case was filed by the health functional food company FromBio against Kim Soohyun and his agency Gold Medalist. It has been about 8 months since the second hearing held on October 22 last year.

FromBio filed the lawsuit, saying its brand image was damaged after allegations of an underage relationship between Kim Soohyun and the late Kim Saeron came up. On the other hand, Kim Soohyun’s side has continued to say the claims are not true.

The court said on this day, “It is necessary to check again what exactly the alleged violation of dignity maintenance refers to in detail.”

In response, FromBio was ordered to organize its evidence for the claim of violation of dignity maintenance in a table and to clearly explain the basis for why each reason counts as a violation of the duty to maintain dignity.

The court plans to review the table once it is submitted, organize the key issues based on it, and then receive additional responses from the defendant before formally defining the scope of the dispute.

[NEWS] A YouTuber accused of defamation by the late Kim Saeron’s family has claimed that she was married to a non-celebrity man in New York before her passing. In response, her family has decided to conduct a digital forensic investigation on her photos.

On March 19, YouTube channel A, operated by YouTuber A, released a video titled “Shocking Exclusive: The Truth Kim Saeron’s Family Hid.”

A stated, “I can no longer overlook the false claims of ‘Garosero Research Institute’ (Gaseyeon), which is misleading the public and mocking the deceased with lies. I made this broadcast to correct the misinformation.”

He then claimed that Kim Saeron’s family had been hiding the fact that she was married.

As evidence, A presented photos that Kim Saeron posted on her social media on January 8, along with the caption “Marry.” At the time, she had denied marriage rumors in an interview, stating, “These are just snapshots with a friend. The marriage rumors are false.”

However, A released an audio recording, asserting that Kim Saeron was indeed married.

Audio Recording Reveals Conversation About Marriage

The recording, allegedly from January 8 at 8:55 AM, features a conversation between an agency official, B, and a woman presumed to be Kim Saeron.

In the audio, the woman said, “I didn’t post that photo; my boyfriend did.”

B responded, “I’m getting nonstop calls, and I keep telling people it’s not true. You need to be clear with me. He’s going to post something again, isn’t he? When are you coming back?”

B continued, “Reporters are calling, asking if you’re really getting married to your boyfriend, and I told them no. I even met and had dinner with your boyfriend at Christmas, and that’s not him. People can break up and get back together, but how could you suddenly post wedding photos with someone else? I just told them it was a concept photoshoot to avoid the issue. Did you really get married?”

The woman presumed to be Kim Saeron admitted, “Yes, I did. It was overseas.”

When asked how she met her husband, she replied, “He’s just an ordinary guy working at a large company in New York. I met him through an acquaintance, and over time, things just happened. He seems fine most of the time, but sometimes he makes me anxious. I even quit KakaoTalk. He controls my KakaoTalk and Instagram accounts, so I can’t do anything. I can only use Telegram and text a little. He kept saying, ‘I don’t understand why you’re hiding our marriage,’ and pressured me to make it public. We fought about it, and that’s why he posted the photo.”

Pregnancy and Forced Marriage

The recording also contained a shocking revelation: The woman presumed to be Kim Saeron had not intended to marry but did so after becoming pregnant. She later had an abortion.

In the conversation, B reassured her, saying, “I’ll just tell people you were on a trip with friends and did a concept shoot.”

The woman responded, “I’ll stick to the ‘snap photoshoot’ story.”

Family’s Accusations Against Kim Soohyun and Digital Forensic Investigation

A stated, “Kim Saeron’s family is making serious accusations against Kim Soohyun, who was her boyfriend four years ago. But the truth is, she was already married and living with her husband. The family has been sending data from her phone to Gaseyeon, which means they were aware of her marriage.”

A also claimed, “Kim Saeron attempted self-harm multiple times early last year and was even hospitalized for emergency surgery, which cost over 20 million KRW. However, none of her family members paid for her medical expenses.”
