@OldTamilPoetry Oh shoot. I sincerely hope this is not a permanent move. It has been my go-to site for anything related to tamizh literature. Some of the commentaries available there are also difficult to find elsewhere.
@BharatVarma3 I know all this. But they typically reference the Central Govt mandate to link Aadhaar to PPF and other welfare schemes. I can't seem to find a *dated* order from RBI or Govt that counter-mandates this. I haven't gone to SBI yet, will probably try that next.
Twitter folks, what is the scenario with Aadhaar and PPF right now? Is it still mandatory to have Aadhaar to open a PPF account (be it online, offline, post office)? Has anybody tried getting a PPF without Aadhaar?
@BharatVarma3 Theoretically, yes. But how do I in reality open a PPF without Aadhaar? Can't do it online - they require Aadhaar verification. Go to a branch and they ask for Aadhaar - I can fight with reps there asking me to show proof, but it gets nowhere. Even post office requires Aadhaar.
@Gunmaster_G9 Wait. There was a circular? Which one, link please?
But yes, all of them have baked Aadhaar into their workflow, changed their website UI to include this. They won't go back at all, it seems.
@ajit_bhaskar@knittins But the detection itself is hit and miss, though. I frequent the BLR-CHN route, and in some toll booths I've had to back up a couple of times for the tag to be read properly.
@diogeneb Frankly, England are playing for a turn that is not there. They are playing premeditated sweep shots where those shots are not warranted. There are no demons in the pitch, the ball is not behaving bizarrely. They are making it more complex than it is.
