PhD apps: "we'd like you to tell us your life story, intergenerational trauma, the scholarship you've done in the last 10 yrs, why you're a great fit for this program, who you'd like to work with & how their work intersects with yours in 1 line of iambic pentameter."
Today I heard someone say “Yeah my dad did his postdoc with them.” And I almost lost my mind. You people have parents with PhDs and they’ve done postdocs?!? My parents have no idea what a PhD is and watchedThe Big Bang Theory to try and understand.
