They didn’t forecast doomsday. They'd had them ordered.

Why control the weather?
Because the weather does it all. Food inflation. Insurance markets. Political stability. Migration patterns Election Results.
A drought in the right country at the right moment brings down a government. A flood at the right time in the right region creates a refugee crisis that destabilizes a continent. A hurricane hitting the right city before an election changes the outcome.
