Thank you to our WT administrators, JEL students and staff family, elected officials, and members of the community who attended the surprise announcement yesterday to honor JELCC teacher Andy Rice.
Proud to be celebrating my 6th year @IPSSchools on this #IPSMilestoneDay! We’ve made a lot of progress expanding #CTE#Pathways across the district, looking forward to even more momentum this year! #PWPIPS
I know many of you have been following the diploma changes very carefully. These graphics were released today along with this press release. The draft rule is not out yet (and won’t be for a few weeks) but wanted to get this out asap. Stay tuned.
Congratulations! IACTED recognizes Shawn Wright-Browner for her educational leadership and retirement & Brian Funk as IACTED Outstanding Administrator! JELCC is proud of you two!!
CTE funding has failed to keep up with growing needs or rising costs, even though investments in education show great returns – for families, communities, and the workforce. Urge Congress to invest in education using the @edfunding toolkit at https://t.co/07WTwjbKEf
🎉CONGRATULATIONS to Emily Hedlund, EMT student, on wining the NC Healthcare Heroes Scholarship!! Award was presented by Julianne Shannon (NC) and Christy Jacobi (WTS Foundation). #JELproud❤️
Yesterday, I honored @stlukesindy’s Social Justice/Creation Care Ministry with a Senate Resolution for their community engagement to dismantle racism, reduce gun violence, protect the environment, & advocate for affordable housing. Our community thrives when we work together.
I was honored to speak with members of RIPEA about HEA 1004 which gives a 13th check to retired public employees. I also enjoyed speaking with young students about public service. My message to them is to dream big, work hard, and make the world a better place.
Happy Teacher Appreciation Week to our JELCC teachers❤️! This week, and every week, we appreciate your hard work and the positive impact you have on our students' lives. #teacherappreciationweek#JELCCteachersrock
