A good family doc will keep pts with chronic conditions healthier and be able to manage some exacerbations in the community before the pt deteriorates to the point of needing hospital care.

Doesn't sound to me like privatization is off the table. Though if I'm wrong, I'd love to hear you clearly say otherwise.
