How your partner reacts to your sadness and things that upset you will tell you ALL you need to know. People that truly care about you, care about how they make you feel. Period.
and i’ll marry a man
who plans for the future and includes me in it. a man who doesn’t just dream out loud but actually sees me standing beside him in those dreams. someone who isn’t afraid of commitment, who can talk about marriage, family, and shared goals. someone who doesn’t just say “someday,” but shows through his actions that he means every word. he will think about where we’ll be in five or ten years, and hell make choices that consider us both. he’ll ask for my thoughts, listen to my ideas, and see my dreams as just as meaningful as his own. he’ll plan for our home, our finances, and the family we’ll build. because love alone can fade without direction, so i’ll marry someone who makes plans with me, not just someone who talks about it
I hope I marry a man who's insanely in Love with me. A man who would do anything to see me happy. A man who admires me & makes me feel like the prettiest girl in the world. A man who have zero male ego in front of me, who treats me like I'm the most delicate thing to ever exist>
i want to be married to a man that doesn't need to be told how to take care of himself or the house or the kids. i want to be married to a man who looks around and wants to take care of things, for the sake of himself and me. wash the dishes because it's what you're supposed to do. clean the house because it's what you are supposed to do. cook because it's what you're supposed to do. i would only consider marrying a partner who understands that my job as a wife is not to be the person that nags them to do things. my role as wife would be do be a partner, and a helper. and that means that there's a split of responsibilities as a sign of love and respect
I’m so tired of people being scared of aging. My mom is 55, in Cancun right now on a girls trip, and she’s the reason I’m not worried. Fill your life and social media with older people you admire. Aging will happen to us all.
My wife stopped asking me to help with Christmas.
I didn't notice.
"Don't stress," I'd tell her. "It'll all come together."
She'd nod. Keep moving.
One night I found her at the kitchen table.
2 AM.
Wrapping gifts I didn't know we had.
For people I forgot existed.
"When did you buy all this?"
She didn't look up.
"It doesn't just come together."
That's when it hit me.
I was the one saying don't stress.
She was the one making Christmas happen.
I wasn't helping.
I was watching.
Your wife isn't stressed about Christmas.
She IS Christmas.
And you're just showing up.
Any relationship that can be ruined by simply having a conversation about your feelings, standards, or expectations was never truly stable to begin with, beloved!
life after breakup is very funny. One day you know you deserved better and you genuinely are content with the relationship being over, next day you miss the person and wish things would’ve turned differently
