Salvador Perez successfully challenged back-to-back pitches, and on the next pitch umpire Laz Díaz gave him a playful stare to see if he'd challenge again. 😂

Rock Creek wrapped up another strong season under head coach Shane Sieben, coming up just short of a repeat 4A state championship.. The Mustangs finished as runner-up after a hard-fought title game against Fort Scott. Down 5-1 entering the sixth, Rock Creek rallied with three runs over the final two innings but couldn’t complete the comeback, falling 6-4. Freshman leadoff batter Jordy Scott capped off an impressive season by going 2-for-3 with a walk in the title game. Junior shortstop Peter Martinie followed suit, also going 2-for-3 with a walk. The Mustangs were led by several standout seniors who played a key role in their recent success, including pitcher Ryker Zoeller (Rock Creek’s all-time leader in strikeouts with 183 and most career wins with 24), pitcher Cooper Sieben, infielder Donovan Debita (.330 AVG, 18 RBI, team leader in doubles and runs scored), and Drew Becker (.312 AVG). Coach Sieben continues to lead one of the most consistent programs in the state, with 10 state tournament appearances since 2014. #sportsinkansas
Although things didn’t end the way we had hoped, to say I’m proud of this group would be a HUGE understatement. After starting the year 1-2 and being 6-4 10 games in, this group finished 23-7 and 4A State Runner-Up. Resilient! Tough! Winners! Love them all!
@toggl Why are "Tags" disappearing / not copying when reusing a previous time record?
Really, really don't have time to renter them for every time record.
