The KSU Annual General Meeting is next week, on Monday, October 23rd at 6pm in the Wardroom, and there are eleven committees with seats to fill. Committees are an easy way to do one small thing to get involved with your student community, so take a look and pick one (or a few)!
Did you know? The KSU needs 5% of the student body, or about 50 students, to come to the AGM and vote. If you care about anything we do or help fund, from free menstrual and sexual health products to the Wardroom and Galley, come to the AGM on October 23rd at 6pm in the Wardroom!
We’ve added another council date for this term, at 2pm this Sunday, September 24th. Keep an eye out for council documents on Thursday and if you’re interested in learning more about the process or any specific motions, come to council!
The KSU is holding a town hall next Wednesday, September 20th, at 6pm in the Wardroom!
The KSU will start with a short presentation of facts and context about the Wardroom and Galley now, while the rest of the town hall will be dedicated to answering student questions.

We are hiring a Chief Returning Officer (CRO) for the 2023-24 academic year! Send your resume and cover letter to [email protected] to apply.
The CRO receives an honorarium of $525 at the end of each of the fall and winter terms.
The ongoing wildfire in the Tantallon area has and will only contribute to the housing crisis, alongside being a sign of the ever-worsening climate crisis. The KSU is also donating $100 to the Red Cross’ to support wildfire relief efforts.

The KSU will be donating $50 to Halifax Mutual Aid for the legal costs of those still fighting charges from August 18, 2021, and $100 to Out Of The Cold Community Association Kjipuktuk, an organization that provides harm-reduction centered support, shelter, and long-term housing.

Attention class of 2023: Our student-run businesses will be open on Thursday May 25, the day of Encaenia! The Galley will be open with coffee and snacks available for purchase, and free cookies for grads. The Wardroom will also be open to grads and their guests.
Natalia's contributions to the KSU and the student community during her time at King's are so valued, and we are incredibly sad to see her leave.

On Saturday, April 15th, Natalia Tola resigned as the King’s Students’ Union President at an emergency Council meeting. Council held a run-off election according to our bylaws, and elected Sara MacCallum as interim President until a full election can be held.
