Only when they accept being a nation-state among others can they finally move forward and focus on their own development.

Today, only half of 1980's jobs still exist. There were no web developers back then.
New needs will emerge; we just don't know the job titles yet.

@verizure @carlbildt Actually, a growing economy does benefit the people in the long run. We get better healthcare, cheaper software services, and more affordable, advanced cancer drugs. That said, the transition can be painful in the short term for certain professions.
