Whitman Hanson Girls Lacrosse had a strong 4th quarter and beat Archbishop Williams 16-9 in the first round of the Staycation Cup in non league competition. WH is 3-2 on the season and 1-2 in the Patriot League.  Shannon Balfe had 6 goals and 2 assists, Captain Bailey Kelly had 6 Goals and 1 assist.  Franny Ruffini, Abby Nash, Leah Cranshaw and defender Maddie Fitzgerald each had 1 goal.  Sabrina Gajewski played well in net, notching her first varsity win with 10 saves on the day.  Captains Hannah Battell and Jac Bourgelas had multiple takeaways playing defense.  It was a great team effort!  Up next is Marshfield for the Staycation Cup final at Silver Lake on Friday.

Freshman Connor McCarthy leads WH Panthers with 4 goals to a 7-2 victory over Q/NQ on Saturday 5/15/21. Red line was buzzing as the Panthers found their long overdue first win at home. Freshman goalie Tyler Gajewski played terrific in net.
