We do not only grow children at New Hope we grow potatoes too. During the Plants unit in CKLA kindergarten planted a potato in class. The potato plant produced 4 small potatoes.
Ms. E. Terry’s first grade class worked on an assembly line to decorate cupcakes. They are studying Economics Activities in their Studies Weekly for Social Studies. The activity this week was to group the students in groups of four and give them a job do complete together.
Ms. Terry’s kindergarten class is studying Colonial Towns and Townspeople. They studied how dressmakers and tailors handmade clothes during this time period. Today they handmade an oven mitt using a pattern, cloth, needle and tread.
Here at New Hope our 1st Grade students are learning about the History of Earth in CKLA. These incredible Wildcats made volcanoes and made them erupt!!!!! They also created Geysers. Cross curricular learning. Goooooo Wildcats

Principal Fields provided staff a session of pampering and snacks during their planning time today. Tracey Fields Hedrick is a National Representative for Mary Kay. She is currently driving her new pink Cadillac.
