take notes. a pro is talking

[INDY🥀 @India_Aigner]

They are trying to normalize going 24-48hrs without talking to the person you’re courting/dating..

i’m a firm believer that the way someone treats you on your birthday reveals exactly where you stand in their life and how they feel abt you

The Registry is one of the most infuriating places in life

When I do this for my next birthday everybody had better get the reference!😂😂😂

Being a lawyer is giving advice people requested, then watching them negotiate with the advice.

[Teddi Maye-Jackson @kteddison_mj]

Then, even when you go into detail explaining the circumstances and give an approximate in ideal circumstances, they take that as the absolute…

[Teddi Maye-Jackson @kteddison_mj]

Pet Peeve: Clients trying to force you to give them absolute timelines and certain responses which are highly dependent on any number of variables.

[Lawyer Issues @LawyerIssues]

Law school didn’t teach me that “AI will handle it” usually means “a lawyer will fix it later.”

And when I have to report Braeton Road 5x/day, what then? 😭

I think the falling birth rate reflects (among other things) a candid acknowledgment by some people that it’s just genuinely okay not to want children.

[Lawyer Issues @LawyerIssues]

A good lawyer knows when the client needs advice and when the client needs to stop talking.

[Deadly Law @DeadlyLaw]

The legal profession has a funny way of humbling people.

The moment you think you've mastered the law, a judge asks one question and you spend the next three days researching.

[Barred and Bearded @RileeDHarrison]

Being an attorney is saying “But after this case gets resolved things will slow down a bit” over and over until you die.

[Adley Duncan @DuncanAdley]

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

🚨Jamaica's Student Loan Bureau Crisis

1/

Nearly 1 in every 2 Student Loan Bureau borrowers is now delinquent.

47.5 per cent, as at March 2026.

That is not a rounding error. That is a system where half the people who borrowed to build a future are not paying it forward.

Is this defiance, hardship, or design failure?

A thread.

[Barred and Bearded @RileeDHarrison]

If you are doing an intake and your gut instinct is to not take the case, don’t take it. That instinct is usually right.

Trust your instinct.

[Lawyer Issues @LawyerIssues]

Law school didn’t teach me that every document has a personality, and some of them are deeply unstable.
