JEONGHAN on living 9 to 6 as office worker life for 1 year and 9 months🥹 HE REALLYY LIKED IT😆
👼life as a 9 to 6 office worker… i think it really allowed me to live much more healthily, and i liked that a lot. so, i’m an ISFJ right? and it just fits me so well. for me, it was just like going to work, coming home, taking care of myself, learning things i need to learn, then going to bed around 11:30 PM and waking up at 7 AM, living like that kind of routine. while i was living that kind of life, it was so good i thought “ah i could really see this as a healthy lifestyle”
you’re all laughing at continental europe rn but their asphalt is actively melting and the normal reaction would be to be horrified by the fact that it’s 44° in FRANCE
and it's not like every household, schools, offices can just install AC overnight... that shit costs money which a lot of people simply won't have lying around. not to mention the schools which have a yearly government budget they need to fit into, at least in my country that is.
I'm kind of sick of these endless discussions. Or is it too hot, I don't know..
People seem not to understand that even AC, which I have, is not enough to keep this kind of heat away.
Houses in Europe are made of heavy brick, concrete, and thick stone walls. That means we have "the oven effect". The houses radiate that heat inward 24/7. Without AC, the inside stays hot even if it cools down outside. Even AC doesn't help much. Why?
Because of Europe's high latitude, cities get 16 to 17 hours of daylight a day in June and July. Which means no time to cool down. The sun sets very late (often after 9:30 PM) and rises early (around 5:00 AM). The night is too short to allow the baked asphalt, concrete, and brick buildings to cool off before the sun starts heating them up again.
Besides that, some of us still need to go outside and earn money for a living, in offices without AC. Yes, we have that climate history. It was never so hot before. Built for the wrong Era and engineered decades ago for a cool, cloudy Central European climate. Europe is now actually the fastest-warming continent on Earth, heating up at twice the global average rate. And dont you dare to come again with: Might be time to… get AC.
Guys, please take care of yourselves and stay hydrated. If you start feeling dizzy, nauseous, get a headache, or stop sweating, get into the shade immediately, drink water, and seek medical help if it does not improve.
my coworker had to take leave for the rest of the week because her daughter's school closed down due to the heat in the uk. if you don't live in europe, just stay out of the conversation.
