@alisha_ann94 @BjaminWood It’s a great option and we should make it easier to live without cars. In reality these builds won’t ban residents from owning a car, having guests with cars, using delivery services, having maintenance workers, etc.

Parking turns into a community burden and safety issue.

@spencerpeterson Building with less parking without making walkable communities is just going to push parking Into streets and nearby neighborhoods, ironically making the communities less safe to bike and walk in.

You have to decrease the need for cars before you eliminate the parking.

95% of Utah adults drive and 90% of Utah households have a car. We need to build for our reality.

Building housing that won’t meet the needs of the residents and pretending they won’t have cars is bad planning.

@BjaminWood It’s not just convenience. Inadequate parking is a safety issue. You’ll get cars blocking snow plows, parking in front of hydrants, blocking crosswalks etc.
Why allow builders to cut corners and create a community problem?

@BjaminWood Have you seen what happens around apartment complexes that don’t have enough parking? People park on the road, in nearby neighborhoods— it’s a mess in the winter, they can’t get plows in.

If you don’t build parking it creates issues for the community.

@MontelongoApri2 @TVMovieAddict There was no evidence against her. There were no claims against her, she’s the plaintiff. The dailies story isn’t a perjury case. But Jed and Melissa’s depositions were messy and tie to a lot of other litigation.

She got the statement she wanted. This was in her favor.

Both sides had risks with a jury trial.

The joint statement signals that lively was in a more powerful position. It was basically what she asked them to say initially.

@MontelongoApri2 @TVMovieAddict It’s uncommon for a defendant to get money in a settlement, they need counterclaims for that and he didn’t have any. The joint statement is pretty close to what she initially asked for.

It’s unlikely she gave them any money and very possible they paid her.

This is a win for Blake lively. They settled before Jed‘s voice notes could be released- judging by the Rebel case that was wise.

@MontelongoApri2 @TVMovieAddict She was the one suing him. He didn’t have any claims left. Wayfarer likely paid her a significant amount of money in settlement.

She could have potentially won millions of dollars in damages with the trial and if Wayfarer won they’d still have legal fees.
