@puneetmalasi@airtelindia Looks like that’s what I will have to do. That’s why duopoly is dangerous. They are sitting comfortably because there is hardly any competition
Shitty service @airtelindia. WiFi shifting req open for week, customer care says backend team will call. No one calls. SMS has mobile but engrs says they are not available and call the customer care. Endless loop. More players needed so airtel can't take customers for granted.

Heard the following from the folks I know at META ; after our page has been restricted and sharing it for the community.
Specially for D2C brands, who have not faced a restriction on their page, you might wanna incorporate the following :
(1) Don't have multi-logins in devices- use Business Suite for sharing access to the team members. Even if someone travels from the team to a new geography - it creates a potential risk of flagging the account if they are logged into a mobile device. Try avoiding that at all cost.
(2) Meta is taking down pages having Many Chat type automations turned on, all those instant replies that your page does, stop those triggers instantly. Although Meta doesn't penalise pages using the official API but this is again a grey area. Why META is doing that? Probably they might be building something of their own, but who owns?
(3) Use Creator Marketplace for all the influencer reach outs. For creators not on the marketplace - ask your team's to reach out individually through the accounts. Massive outbounds from your IG page might lead to the security flagging it as Spam in scenarios where the creators don't revert to them and lead to restrictions on your page.

@vinodchendhil And mind you even reliable brands like Myntra and all make mistakes. Sometimes packet is shipped late, sometime wrong product so COD is ultimate solution for convenience in online shopping without losing random money
@vinodchendhil Only 10% reliable brands, rest are inefficient or frauds. A customer spoiled with wide variety of choices, doesn’t want to order prepaid and own the hassle of tracking. Rather order cod, if it doesn’t come, or doesn’t come by expected date or comes with bad quality, no problem!!
@deepakabbot It's a judgement in right direction. While costs may rise but it will signal enforcement of trademark, copyright,IP laws else no one will invest in these areas. Will soon extend to marketplaces possibly
My kids are starting to play cricket. I am not an athlete so sometime I get frustrated at lack of results. Sachin is teaching parents like me off the field. It takes immense love for game and conviction to stay this far and for this Arjun you have my respect. Kudos.
Well done, Arjun. ❤️
Proud of the way you’ve carried yourself through this season, always believing in your ability, staying patient, working hard quietly, and remaining positive despite having to wait for your opportunity till the very last match.
Cricket tests patience as much as skill, and you handled both beautifully today.
Keep your feet on the ground, and continue being in love with the game like you always have.
Love you always.👏
Meta, Instagram and Google have become critical to India's digital ecosystem but the way they are suspending brands/accounts without any reason is quite dangerous. Needs to be looked into.
Lot of businesses facing shocks due to meta account suspension.
Meta has become a systemically important organization for our economy.
I stopped my D2C sales via meta in 2022 because they suspended my ads over an opaque feedback score mechanism.
This is getting out of hand.
One might argue that what happened in our case wrt surnames is not logical. Ok but that's the bullshit that ppl keep looking for logic/fairness in everything. Coz it's not. Just both have to make it work. BOTH. n/n
My wife kept her name after marriage and my kids took my surname. We didn't plan both things this way but happened organically. The real issue is if both are strong personalities and power is almost equal, they would want to "change less". 1/n
In India, inter-caste marriage is not easy. But the reason here was not what you think.
Both are well educated. The guy is from the Ivy League earning 1Cr+, and the girl is from IIT earning 70L.
The issue the guy raised was very weird. I don’t think you’ve heard this before.
The girl did not want to adopt his surname after marriage. Fair enough.
But this is where things got interesting. The guy was ready to drop the entire marriage conversation just because of this.
So we tried to understand his reasoning deeply. And what he said next actually blew my mind.
Let’s break it down from scratch.
In India, it’s been simple. After marriage, the woman takes the man’s surname. The child takes the father’s surname. One straight line. No confusion.
Now enter a different scenario.
Two people marry. The woman does not change her surname. First problem. The man is already uncomfortable. Second problem. What happens when they have a child, Whose surname will the child take.
If the child takes both surnames, it becomes long, messy, and honestly most people feel it looks weird. If the child takes the father surname, then what was the point of the mother not changing hers.
And this is where the real conflict comes in
The man logic was simple. If you believe in equality, why should only I adjust on this. And the reverse almost never happens. A man is not going to take the woman’s surname.
So what exactly changed - And this is where things get messy. Because this is not just about a name. It’s about identity, ego, equality, family expectations, and legacy all mixed together
And yes, the guy actually walked away from the marriage conversation because of this one issue.
Let that sink in - In India, arranged marriage is not just about two people liking each other. It’s about caste, family, surname, identity, legacy, and a hundred invisible expectations
People think inter-caste marriage is the hard part, it’s not. The real problem starts after that. And most people don’t even realise it until they are in it.
If you start putting conditions both sides can. Doesn't make the girl bad/wrong. Just a thought, would she make same condition if the guy is making 3-4 cr+ or has a large business. So some power balance is also at play here. 3/n
To add corporations can mostly throw money as ads. Thanks to IG now value for money brands can innovate via content, mass premium brands can showcase products, styling and luxury brands can show concierge experience. 1/n
This is for those who think owning your distribution is sufficient. While that greatly helps in scaling but without a great quality product distribution doesn’t matter. Products which have PMF are insanely hard to build. ESP in apparels.
Future is marketplaces mostly operating in "meesho" model and niche fashion brands filling the rest of space. Purely online Premium fashion marketplace model will not scale. 3/n
