Muslim Turks, under the commands of Mustafa Kemal, sold the bones of the murdered Greeks and Armenians.
After the genocide and expulsion of the Greeks from Asia Minor, ships loaded with the remains of Greeks and Armenians sailed on their way to Western Europe.
Turkey sold the bones of the dead. Industries used them to bleach sugar and tobacco. They ground them into fertilizer.
At least 400 tons. More than 50,000 dead.
Thousands of men, women, and children fell into the hands of the Kemalist army and the irregulars. Women were raped in groups. Men were tortured without limit.
Entire villages that stayed behind, hoping their Turkish neighbors would show mercy, were executed.
The hostages were driven on death marches across thousands of kilometers. Barefoot. Nearly naked. Beaten by villagers along the way. Many died of thirst in the ravines of Magnesia. Those ravines supplied the bones Kemal later sold.
The survivors were sent to labor battalions. They rebuilt the infrastructure of the new Turkish state under conditions designed to finish them.
After Lausanne, 1.5 million refugees arrived in Greece searching for relatives who never came home.
This is not ancient history. This is the century that produced us.
They want us to forget.
They want the bones to remain fertilizer and the names to remain numbers.
We do not forget.
We never forget the Genocide of the Greeks of Pontus & Asia Minor by the Muslim Turks. The genocide was orchestrated by Mustafa Kemal & the Young Turks, & it was racially and religiously motivated in order to create their pseudo-nation 100 years ago. They butchered, tortured, raped, burnt and starved to death through the death marches millions of Greeks, Armenians and Assyrians.
The true barbarian is the one who turns the dead into raw material and then lectures the living about civilization.

I am not a Jew so I cannot pretend to know how it feels to be Jewish in Canada. I can however, publicly support Canadian Jews. Loudly.
The news this morning…restaurants burned, bagel shops shot up, blatant attacks on Jews. Speak out against this blatant antisemitism. It DOES have a place in Canada. In fact, it is thriving here. @thealliescanada
Modern Greeks have around 80% generic continuity with the Mycenaeans based on a 2017 research.
In 2023, scientists confirmed that the Aegean DNA is almost intact since Bronze age.
Tory have you ever wondered why the Greek revolution started? No... Because you have no idea what you are talking about. The Greeks had revolted over 100 times since the fall of Constantinople, 1821 revolution was just successful.
This is why Nolan’s Odyssey sucks
Every story has parts that can be changed and parts that cannot.
Romeo and Juliet can be set in Rio de Janeiro, but it must remain the tragedy of two young lovers. Macbeth can unfold beneath a modern dictatorship, but it must still tell the story of ambition, treachery, and ruin. Antigone can take place under a twentieth-century regime, but it must remain the story of a woman who defies the state to honor a higher law.
The costumes can change. The setting can change. The weapons can change. The language can change. The ideas cannot.
Cross that line and you are no longer adapting the story. You are replacing it. You take an old name, strip out its meaning, bolt on your own, and present the result as though nothing happened. That is not adaptation. It is vandalism. It is a fraud. You are not preserving a myth. You are butchering one.
I used to love these for years. Great for the beach.
Then one day I realized why they were warm. I saw one guy who had been walking the beach for an hour go back to reload.
He opened his 1972 hatchback that was sitting in the 40 degree sun from the morning and inside were bags and bags of loukoumades. I was done then.
After 55, you don’t “wake up early” — you join the elite 3:30 AM secret society and spend the morning silently judging everyone still in bed like the smug old bastard you are. 😖
The Turkish Nazi Regime: Between 1913 and 1923, hundreds of thousands of Greeks were murdered during the Greek Genocide, yet Turkey continues to deny it. History doesn’t disappear because it’s inconvenient. Recognition and accountability are long overdue.
We have a saying in Greece that derives directly from the Iliad:
“Always strive for excellence and to surpass the others, and do not bring shame upon the race of your fathers.”
(Homer, Iliad Z 208–209)
With these words, Hippolochus advised his son Glaucus when he sent him to fight in Troy. Earlier in the same book we read:
“Why do you ask of my lineage, fearless son of Tydeus?
The generations of mortals are like the leaves of the trees:
some the wind scatters upon the ground, and others the forest brings forth again when spring renews the trees.
Thus one generation of men springs up, and another passes away.”
(Homer, Iliad Z 145–149)
We say “Aien aristeuein,” which means “Always to excel.”
These words from Homer shaped generations of heroes and glorious men. This phrase lived in our collective memory, at least until today, and we fought to become better than our ancestors and worthy of our heroes. We had role models; we admired our grandfathers. The archetype of the heroic ancestor was born, and the lifelong purpose was always to surpass him through great deeds in one’s own life.
Until the dark days of today arrived, days baptized as “progress,” in which every day we slide from bad to worse.
Some want to create a degenerate world, sunk in atheism, anarchy, and spiritual collapse, far removed from values, virtues, and morality. They call this “progress,” yet it is nothing but total subjugation, heads bowed, without any desire to resist.
Today’s so-called progress, therefore, consists precisely in moving as far as possible away from the ancient command of fighting in your life to surpass your ancestors and having virtues.
To live without the imperative “aien aristeuein” is to accept the slow death of the human spirit. When excellence is no longer the measure, when the only sacred thing left is the right to mediocrity and the comfort of never being judged by the shadow of greater men, then man ceases to be a bridge toward something higher and becomes merely a consumer of fleeting pleasures in a rootless present.
A civilization that teaches its young to surpass their fathers in virtue, courage, wisdom, and beauty ascends.
One that teaches them to despise or ignore their fathers has already begun its long descent into oblivion.

🇨🇦 Every Canadian should read this twice:
🇨🇦 Canada ranks—
🥇 1st in uranium
🥇 1st in potash
🥈 2nd in nickel
🥉 3rd in oil
🏅 5th in gold
💧 1st in freshwater
Countries start wars for LESS than this.
And somehow we are told we’re too poor to cut taxes, too broke to build homes, too weak to compete, too small to matter.
It took historic levels of incompetence and ideological sabotage to bury a country this blessed.
Imagine where Canada would be if we were actually allowed to win.
