By the way, Keith Ellison only sponsored two bills that became law while he was in Congress.

One was the Money Remittances Improvement Act of 2014 (H.R. 4386).

It eased international remittances for sending money abroad, including to Somalia and terrorists.

This was his top priority.

Ellison himself said the bill’s passage, after it was signed into law by Barack Obama on August 8, 2014, was “cause for celebration” for diaspora communities, including Somali and Hmong communities in Minnesota.
