I never get why people are so obsessed with wanting Taeyeon to leave SM.

Every time another SM artist leaves, it's always, "I hope Taeyeon takes notes."

But... why?

Sure, SM has plenty of flaws, and fans have every right to criticize the company. But none of us know what Taeyeon's contract looks like, what benefits she gets, or what goes on behind the scenes. There could be reasons she's chosen to renew that we'll never know.

At the end of the day, she's fully capable of making the best decision for herself.

Some fans might have thought the contract deadline was a typo, but it wasn't. This is what Yuri explained on 🫧

"It was actually supposed to be until today, but I extended the period a little more to catch up on schedules that were set a while ago."

So, today was originally meant to be the official end date of her contract with SM. However, due to previously arranged schedules, the contract period has been extended slightly so she can complete those commitments.
