What point was there in having as many many soldiers as they had talked about earlier anyway, given that it was a nuclear war? Both sides clearly have capability and the will to use them, so why bother? #APLAC3

@annaleighhh1234 To add to this, they also suggest that they don’t think that war is dangerous, and even if it is not, that they’ll find a new husband just as easily as they found their first. They have no connection to their children, referring to them as things as mundane as laundry. #APLAC3

@Kolten95155075 Another part parallel to “1984” is how people seem to be desensitized to war, with the bombers constantly flying over comparable to how in “1984” a missle crashing into the residential district is seen as normal. #APLAC3

In Fahrenheit 451, firefighters have become people who destroy books because they are a “plague on society” and while we do not do that yet, with countries like China going as far as banning the book “1984” by Orwell, are we approaching this? #APLAC3
