Social media and podcasts continue to prove daily that our forefathers were right in depriving women platforms to speak, because 99.9% of the time they're saying crap

You're telling young women, hey don't hoe around for KFC or iphones, but hoe for cars, houses or businesses. This is what can be termed dumb hoe logic, because it assumes that you'll meet a man right there n there and he'll buy you a car or house

It doesn't work that way, no matter how loaded a man is, everything takes time, it starts with that KFC, if you play your cards well or he likes you, you move to clothes, then iphones, then cars, then houses. But now what are the chances of every woman who sleeps with a rich guy that this will be their story?

Because rich guys have so many options you have to be extremely beautiful and more for him to want to commit more of his resources. The end result is just many young women, psychologically damaged, infected with diseases and single motherhood

Dumb hoe logic, stop giving these hoes platforms

The entire Southern Africa region is facing a drought on an unprecedented level due to the El Nino effect. With drought means they'll be more social problems that will arise and here a few

• prostitution - when people are hungry to be more specific women, they will resort to prostitution

• divorces - as prostitution rises, so will be the breakup of many marriages

• HIV/AIDS and other STDs - the rise in prostitution sees the rise in HIV/AIDS and other STDs infections

• orphans - with HIV/AIDS infections, deaths related to the pandemic rise as well, resulting in a lot of orphans

• child headed homes - as many children are left as orphans usually in the care of grandparents who are too old to work and provide, the result is young children being forced to take care of their siblings

• child marriages - in times of hunger, young girls will be betrothed/forced into arranged marriages with wealthy men so they can take care of their families

• unemployment - with a drought it also happens that many companies will be forced to close shop or retrench, adding to an already high number of the unemployed

• drug abuse - with high unemployment, comes drug abuse, as a form of escapism from a dreadful reality

• crime - what comes next to the mind of the unemployed and with drug addiction, yes you guessed right, crime. We will witness unprecedented levels of crime

And this requires serious effort and cooperation between governments and NGOs in coming up with solutions to mitigate the effects of the drought

We also ask that their immediate family be designated as well. The continued torture, abduction & murders in Zimbabwe must not be tolerated by those who believe in human rights. 15 years ago I was invited for lunch with a couple of other journalists by billionaire businessmen and founder of @CNN, Ted Turner.

He had just donated billions to the United Nations, but what struck me was that he drove an old white BMW 3 series.

I was reminded of this story today by the issue of how former big corporate Zimbabweans are struggling in retirement, it was being discussed in a closed WhatsApp group.

A person who bought two houses in 2001 for US$60,000 each, today is collecting rentals of US$6,000 per month, that is US$72,000 a year.

A person who used his US$120,000 to buy a brand new Landcruiser in 2002 bought a liability, which is now worth nothing.

The choices we make when we are still earning money define how we live in our retirement when the fanfare of working in big companies is gone.
Zimbabweans live conspicuous consumption, driving expensive cars whilst renting their accommodation.

It simply makes no sense at all, some even drive a Range Rover on credit whilst living in rented accommodation in South Africa instead of buying a home.

We all know that the Zimbabwean Government destroyed pensions and savings, it is now our personal responsibility to prepare for the future, for our retirement!

The best way to do that is to buy property, you will never go wrong with property.
Don’t stress your kids when you are in retirement, prepare for your retirement now!

I mentor young people, I always tell them that the spouse you have can either build you or destroy, a good spouse will tell to invest in the future, a bad spouse will tell you to invest for today in expensive cars and champagne lifestyles.

At some point it will come to an end, and life still has to continue when the night club music stops playing!
