TF2 was stabbed to death and willingly abandoned by Valve for no good reason. Ghost Ship just has their hands full with DRG’s sister game.

@Ballistic_Ari @JoinDeepRock But you really can’t compare TF2 with anything. VALVE broke matchmaking with Meet Your Match, and that failure led to TF2’s abandonment. Now all they do is add workshop slop for a paycheck and rare bug fixed which are also submitted by the community. Life support since 2018.

@Ballistic_Ari @JoinDeepRock There are about 44 people in GSG’s team. As said, they are mostly working on Rogue Core right now. Sadly, yes, DRG is in a major update drought. But when RC comes out, DRG updates will pick up. R* did the same for RDR2, but with GTA 6 coming soon, now it’s getting new content.

They are running active dev streams, the game is doing well, and we still get seasonal content. TF2 just does seasonal slop for money at least Ghost Ship puts love into their work.

@Ballistic_Ari @JoinDeepRock Yeah, not even speaking of the fact that most of those maps are unbalanced garbage. They aren’t made by Valve; they are made by workshopers, and Valve just has to choose which ones to add. They do zero work themselves they just copy paste workshop stuff into TF2.

They are working on DRG, but progress is slow they said so a while ago. TF2 is handled by a negligent multibillion dollar corp that likes to fuck their own players for fun.
