There’s not one single sport in the world that combines athletism/agility, physical/cardiovascular fitness, mental toughness and dexterity more than football (soccer).
Not sport!
A close second is Rugby.
The reason soccer is "the world's most popular sport" is that it's the cheapest one.
All you need is a ball. That burned out car over there is one goal and that dumpster over there is the other.
You don't need any equipment. You don't even need shoes. Kids with no hands can play soccer.
Most of the best players seem to be from Third World countries where they live in mudhuts and wear Atlanta Falcons Super Bowl Champions shirts every day.
Stop talking to me about what a beautiful, sophisticated game it is. It isn't. Yes, there are plays. There are plays in every sport. But football, basketball and baseball are far, far more sophisticated and require greater skill and athleticism than soccer, and you people sound like idiots trying to claim otherwise.
Don’t stop however! At 49, start with lighter but functional weights, your muscle growth rate is still far less than you anticipated.
Be consistent, choose a sustainable weight training programme and take enough rest for recovery.
Go sir💪🏼
Gabriel Magalhães. One kick does not define you. Unbelievable across 120 minutes tonight, and stellar all season long. We stick together - in the good times and the bad.
As Health Secretary, Wes Streeting deepened the privatisation of our NHS and handed over our data to Palantir, a company involved in genocide.
I am sure his friend Peter Mandelson is very proud.
Time to reinstate our NHS as a fully public service — and kick Palantir out!
@ick_real This is like discounting the work a mother provides for her children because she’d have to do the same for herself
Horrendously illogical argument, and more misandrist denigration of men.
There is nothing special about this Arsenal side. They are an elite, well-drilled machine....but every machine has a kill switch.
If you want to outplay them, don't play their game. If you want to beat them, don't match their rhythm. Break it.
Suffocate their build-up, Saliba or Zubimendi will fold and the whole structure starts to creak. Arteta's system is built on control tempo, spacing, composure.
Deny them those three things, and suddenly simple passes become complicated, midfield dominance evaporates, and the errors begin to creep in.
Press them relentlessly, press them aggressively but with intelligence. Not reckless chaos.......calculated aggression. Force them into uncomfortable areas, rush their decisions, and make every touch feel heavy.
Once they wobble, attack with conviction. Test the goalkeeper repeatedly with shots, quick and early. Even the best eventually crack under sustained pressure. Football, like life, rewards volume.
Then comes the inevitable Martinelli switch. Whenever Arsenal need an injection of chaos, he is usually the card Arteta plays. To counter that, you need a right-back with pace, strength, and a touch of controlled violence. Match his speed, dominate the duel, and Arsenal lose one of their most dangerous escape routes.
And then, of course, the set pieces. Arsenal have turned dead balls into an art form. Remove that weapon, and their cutting edge diminishes significantly. No cheap fouls. No needless corners. No invitations.
Manchester United demonstrated this perfectly at the Emirates. That result was not fortune......it was tactical execution.
Atlético Madrid showed flashes of the same blueprint, particularly in the second half. They disrupted Arsenal, unsettled them, and created the exact kind of chaos Arsenal dislike. Their only crime was failing to land the decisive second blow.
And history offers a familiar warning.
March to June has often been Arsenal's annual system reboot period when the software starts lagging, the fans start buffering, and the title challenge suddenly needs troubleshooting.
Lo & behold the Nigerian dream. "I better pass my neighbor." Classism. I get car, other people no get. I carry car go NYSC camp, I dey chill for my car while others dey parade ground. I wear NYSC uniform, you never wear am. A society of slaves and imbecils. Individualistic classists.
I remember when this talking stage wanted to pay for me to get a BBL.
Said I fit into everything he wants in a woman but I just don’t have curves as he likes 😂😂😂😂😂 He offered to pay for me to get a bbl…
Thats when I knew that my village people had sent that man to destroy my life. Imagine trying to coerce me into going under the knife to fit into your ‘aesthetic.’
CRAZY FELLOW. I know he might see this.. and this is me telling you again that you are a MAD MAN 😒
This only makes sense if you think fitness is just about equipment. A home gym removes the single biggest driver of gains: the environment. You don't learn proper deadlift form from YouTube, you learn it from the guy pulling 200kg (440 lbs) next to you who corrects your back position for free.
The gym is a social institution where strangers spot you, push you, and hold you accountable just by existing. You see the same faces grinding at 6am for months and it rewires your own standard of what consistency looks like.
The skinny kid who showed up nervous becomes the guy repping 100kg (220 lbs) bench in a year because the environment made quitting feel harder than showing up. No home setup replicates that pressure. By choosing the convenience of a home gym, you are also choosing to train in isolation with zero feedback, zero competition, and zero community.
Nigeria needs a hospital rating system that assesses and compares hospital quality based on measures like mortality, safety, readmissions, patient experience, and care timeliness.
I bought like 10 turtlenecks so I wouldn’t have to think about what to wear to work every day. During a meeting, someone just asked “do you have any updates Steve Jobs?” I’m going to HR
