Udaipur’s Old City.
Narrow lanes. Clean, quaint, charming.
Founded in 1559.
There is no reason this should draw fewer visitors than the medieval towns of Europe. None at all.
We travel far to discover new places.
Sometimes the discovery begins closer home.

Paraguay is 1,000 miles (1,600 km) from the nearest ocean, but it has a navy. Not only that, it has the largest navy in the world for a landlocked country.

New: Joe Rogan is in pure awe when independent researcher Cassie Coppersmith shows the mystery of the ancient Bahubali statue in India built over 1,000 years ago that stands at 57 feet tall and weighs 2,000,000 pounds:
COPPERSMITH: “The Bahubali statue is the most impressive thing I’ve ever seen with my own two eyes.”
ROGAN: “Holy sh*t.”
COPPERSMITH: “The ears alone are 5 and a half feet tall.”
ROGAN: “Woah. Look at the lips and fingernails on this thing. The precision it was made with is insane.”
COPPERSMITH: “This is over 1,000 years old and they’re still trying to figure out how it was made.”
ROGAN: “Wowww what is this thing?”
COPPERSMITH: “I think this thing was clearly made using a machine. Everything is just way too precise and perfect.”
ROGAN: “This just makes you think what was the peak of advanced civilizations 10,000 years ago. We must’ve lost so much information during the flood.”
COPPERSMITH: “It’s 57 feet tall and weighs 1,000 tons. This is the largest standing statue left on Earth from ancient times.”
ROGAN: “That’s truly amazing.”
COPPERSMITH: “It’s considered a holy site. When you sit up there you feel different. You literally feel like you’re being healed.”
If someone gets into MBBS through reservation they sit in the same classroom learn from the same professors and use the same labs and books as open-merit students.
So why the hell someone need reservation again in NEET PG?
Harsh Dubey has pointed out things No one of the Politicians or Political analysts ever did :-
1. 90% of students who commits suicide due to NEET belong to General Category.
2. There are multiple levels of Reservation.
3. There should be equal cutoffs across the country and categories.
4. Competitive exams should be focussed on 11-12th level focussing on core subjects of fields.
5. There should be sub-categorisation among SC-ST on the basis of Creamy layer .
6. 50% of seats in Private colleges should be government seats .
7. System should focus on removal of Reserved Seats ultimately .
8. We should focus on making system which ease the life of aspirants not put burden on them .
9. India deserves change in system , A Resignation won't contribute much.

ORBIT ACHIEVED. 🚀
Vikram-1 Test Flight-1 has reached orbit. India's first privately developed orbital rocket has completed its final burn and injected its payloads into a ~450 km orbit, making India the third country in the world with private orbital launch capability.
History is made. 🇮🇳

En el momento del pase hay una línea de 7 ingleses más el portero, todos con más de 1.85 de estatura, y el balón va a llegar exactamente al punto donde Lautaro (1.74) va tener la portería para él solo.

Charlie Munger and Warren Buffett on Ethanol blending in Petrol:
“Ethanol blending is a very stupid way to try and solve an energy problem.”
“It takes more fossil fuel energy to create ethanol than you can get out of ethanol you’ve created.”
- Charlie Munger. 2006.
Anand Ranganathan just completely dismantled the government's mandatory E20 fuel obsession, and every single vehicle owner needs to hear this. 🚨
We are constantly sold the narrative that 20% Ethanol blending is a massive economic masterstroke.
But here is the actual reality check for the consumer:
👉 The Mileage Drop: Ethanol has lower energy density than pure petrol. You are literally paying the exact same price for less power and lower mileage.
👉 The Engine Killer: Forcing E20 into older, non compliant engines causes severe corrosion and mechanical breakdown. The government hits its target, but you pay the massive repair bills.
👉 Coercion Over Choice: A free market thrives on options. Instead of offering E20 as a choice at the pump, it is being shoved down our fuel tanks via a mandatory backdoor tax on efficiency.
Economic progress requires choice, not state coercion.
Watch @ARanganathan72 lay down the absolute scientific facts on why the hidden costs of E20 far outweigh the hyped benefits. 👇

A generator runs on a fixed RPM and has no gears or variable torque, the benchmark for 12 million trucks that pull 0.5 tons to many tons on different roads using multiple gears
So as per Nobel laureate @nitin_gadkari ji, 2 generators are a test case to screw up 12 million trucks
Your dad is not wrong. I even have written on it once.
Morocco shows up as MAR on scoreboards because FIFA's country codes do not always come from the English name.
A lot of them come from French, which is the working language FIFA has used since it was founded in Paris in 1904. Morocco in French is Le Maroc. First three letters: MAR.
And Morocco is not alone. This happens more than people realise.
Germany is GER, which tracks in English. But then you get to Ivory Coast, which shows up as CIV, from Côte d'Ivoire. Algeria is ALG from Algérie. Haiti is HAI from Haïti. Switzerland is SUI from Suisse. Spain is ESP from España. Iran appears as IRN.
The pattern runs across the entire scoreboards. Some countries are also coded based on whatever their language is.
FIFA built its codes in an era when French dominated international administration, and colonial history shaped which language a country's name was recorded in first.
That legacy is still sitting quietly on every scoreboard at this World Cup.
I hope you have learned something today.

E20 policy was a huge failure.
Not for the reason media told you.
Not for the reason social media told you.
It is deeper than that.
And more worrisome than you think.
Chemistry first.
E10 = 10% ethanol + 90% petrol.
E20 = 20% ethanol + 80% petrol.
Ethanol is alcohol from sugarcane, maize, rice.
It burns cleaner.
It is not the villain here.
Brazil started this in 1975.
Took five decades to mature its fleet.
The US moved to E10 over a generation.
India hit 20% blending by April 2025.
Six years ahead of its own target.
A sprint, where the world walked.
2021.
Niti Aayog.
Roadmap raised red flags.
Vehicles could lose 10-20% efficiency.
Written down.
Signed off.
Implemented anyway.
Now the numbers.
India's petrol fleet = ~17 crore.
Two-wheelers: ~15 crore.
Cars: ~2 crore.
Compliance cutoff: April 1, 2023.
Before, engines built for E10.
After, built for E20.
Pre-2023 two-wheelers = ~12.3 crore.
Pre-2023 cars = ~1.4 crore.
Vehicles actually affected = ~14 crore.
Total Vehicles in India = ~23 crore.
Media wants you picturing a burning nation.
The real number is precise.
Not a Disaster.
But still large.
14 crore is bigger than most countries on earth.
Now the part no press release mentioned.
E20-compliant means replacing:
Fuel lines.
Seals.
Gaskets.
Ethanol is hygroscopic.
It pulls water from air.
Water plus old rubber equals corrosion.
Not myth.
Material science.
Cost per car: ~₹10,000.
Cost per two-wheeler: ~₹5,000.
12.3 crore two-wheelers = ~₹55,000 crore.
1.4 crore cars = ~₹14,000 crore.
National retrofit bill = ~₹70,000 crore.
Here is where government failed.
1. Communication collapsed.
No ministry owned the message to 14 crore owners.
Petroleum Ministry.
Road Transport Ministry.
Information Broadcasting Ministry.
Three departments, zero coordination.
Silence dressed as arrongance.
That it's just 14 crore vehicle owners.
2. No budget was allocated.
A democracy that removes choice from citizens.
Owes those citizens the cost of that removal.
This bill should never reach a mechanic's counter.
It should reach the Finance Ministry.
Now, what the nation actually won.
Farmer income this year, from ethanol alone.
~₹40,000 crore.
Forex saved this year, crude we did not import.
~₹43,000 crore.
Combined gain, one year.
~₹83,000 crore.
Now the other number.
The one-time cost to make all 14 crore vehicles compliant.
~₹70,000 crore.
One year of the win pays the entire bill.
With margin left.
This was never a nation that could not afford fairness.
This was a nation that won.
And made it look like a failure.
Choosing energy independence is a sovereign act.
Every serious nation does it.
But why betray it's people due to irresponsible Beuraucrats?
A government that speaks of strength abroad.
Forgets to fund the strength at home.
Fund it fully.
Or subsidise it at 50%, minimum.
Not because science demands it.
Because democracy does.
14 crore Indians did not vote for this reform.
They are paying it anyway.
Who exactly was this convenience for?
I have a basic question:
Let's say P100 (E0) gave 15 kms per litre
Now P80 (E20) is giving only 12-13 kms per litre (as per various users). Some are reporting even lower, because 8 out of 10 cars are not E20 compliant.
So basically, we have to fill 10-15% extra P80 Fuel for same distance. Which means we have to fill almost same amount of Petrol eventually and some Ethanol also.
So won't Fuel Consumption eventually increase? Atleast, this will be the case for next 10 years until all vehicles become E20 compliant.
What's the catch here? What am I missing?

When Marcelo Bielsa became Leeds United manager in 2018, he asked a simple question: how long does the average supporter have to work to afford a match ticket?
After learning the answer was around three hours, Bielsa gathered his players and assigned them an unusual task.
Instead of training, they spent the next three hours picking up litter around the club’s training ground.
The exercise wasn’t meant as punishment. Bielsa wanted his squad to understand the effort, sacrifice, and hard work that ordinary fans put in to support their team.
By spending the same amount of time doing manual work, the players were reminded that every ticket purchased represents hours of labor by loyal supporters.
The story became one of the most famous examples of Bielsa’s unique leadership style and his deep respect for football fans.
Until 2021, the Indian Army was still throwing a hand grenade the British designed in 1915. Grenade No. 36 Mk-I, a WW1-era weapon notorious for uneven fragmentation that occasionally maimed the thrower. Solar's EEL replaced it with 10 lakh Multi-Mode Hand Grenades and became the first private Indian company to supply complete ammunition to the armed forces.
That was only the opening act.
The deeper unlock came when DRDO transferred BrahMos solid propellant booster technology to Solar. India had been importing 35 boosters a year from Russia for its flagship cruise missile. ToT to a private company was a privilege normally reserved for DPSUs. Solar today supplies propellants and warheads across BrahMos, Pinaka, Akash and several other indigenous platforms.
Then Nagastra-1, India's first fully indigenous loitering munition at 75 percent local content. 480 units were delivered under emergency procurement in late 2024. Combat debut happened in Operation Sindoor.
January 2026, Rajnath Singh flagged off the first batch of Guided Pinaka rockets from Solar Defence and Aerospace's Nagpur plant. Armenia already buys it. Nigeria and Indonesia are next in the queue. Bhargavastra, the counter-drone system out of the same facility, was test-launched recently.
This company has quietly built a full stack in Indian defence: warhead chemistry, missile propellants, loitering munitions, guided rockets, counter-UAS.
The Padma Shri is absolutely well deserved.
Disclosure: not invested.

He chose Gujarati folk song “Helo Maro Sambhalo”!
Observe his pronunciation of ણ and ળ. More clear than of many Gujaratis.
