He clearly used an f-bomb toward a player. He needs to be relieved of his duties immediately. There’s no place in pro sports for this kind of arrogance. As for the other zebra, the player was trying to help him up. What’s his problem? Oh, and don’t these guys know their actions can be recorded. What are they doing?
This kind of behavior from an official towards a player is unacceptable. Players are consistently held accountable when the roles are reversed. We expect the NFL to hold officials to the same standard.
When Hurricane Katrina drowned New Orleans in 2005, the federal government froze.
FEMA had no plan. Bureaucrats demanded forms. Police blocked roads.
You know who saved thousands of Americans?
A bunch of duck hunters with beer bellies and pickup trucks from the Louisiana swamps.
They called themselves the “Cajun Navy.”
Eighty percent of New Orleans was submerged under fifteen feet of toxic, sewage-filled water.
Thousands of elderly people and children were baking on rooftops in 95-degree heat, screaming for help that wasn't coming.
Officials were issuing warnings: “Do not enter. Unsafe. You don't have authorization.”
Down in the bayous of Lafayette and Houma, men looked at their TV screens, walked out to their sheds, and hooked their 14-foot flat-bottom fishing boats to their Chevy trucks.
They didn't ask for permission.
They didn't ask for gas money.
They didn't check who was Democrat or Republican, Black or White.
Hundreds of swamp boys drove straight into the disaster zone with shotguns, flashlights, and coolers of water.
When local authorities tried to turn them back at checkpoints, they ignored the deputies, launched their johnboats into the floodwaters from highway overpasses, and followed the cries in the dark.
They dodged live power lines and submerged cars.
They cut holes through rooftops with chainsaws.
They hauled shivering grandmothers, newborn infants, and abandoned dogs into their boats for days without sleep.
No government badge.
No paycheck.
Just regular American rednecks who refused to let their neighbors drown.
God bless the Cajun Navy. That is what makes this country unbreakable. 🇺🇸🛶
@ta11131262@MikeTriplett Ed, the purveyor of all football knowledge, I understand the rule, but disagree, and I can’t recall another instance where this rule has been applied in this manner. The typical explanation has been arm moving forward. It should also not have been reversed on replay.
Rich Eisen Weighs In on the Saints vs Lions Week 1 Officiating Controversy https://t.co/wsxyemyrzi via @YouTube
If Rich is says the his, he’s respected in that building, that the Saints got shafted then you know. But really, we already knew that unfortunately. 🤦🏿♂️
@ta11131262@MikeTriplett I knew better than to engage with people such as you - no chance of an actual discourse. I know football, but I disagree with the application of the rule.
Enjoy yourself little man.
@ta11131262@MikeTriplett No the grownup room is where we don’t insult people call them clueless or a clown when differing in opinions. Did I insult you, even though we disagree…nope.
@OnceALibtard@nick_underhill I get it. I agree with you. It’s a hard job but they missed a call on replay. They made the right call on the field. There’s honestly no excuse for that.
@ta11131262@MikeTriplett It was absolutely a fumble. But, If we leave the real world and travel to an alternate universe, where as you say, it was a backwards pass, then yes, it should be ruled a backwards pass, which by rule is a live ball.
@ta11131262@MikeTriplett You can dig in to make your point, but if you’re being honest, you know this rule has never been applied like this - definitely a fumble. Campbell thought they missed the call - is he clueless?
@ta11131262@MikeTriplett If it were plain to see there wouldn’t be all of the outrage - not just from Saints fans either. That’s another issue. It wasn’t clear to overturn it - They should’ve let the ruling on the field stand.
Does anyone REALLY understand what happened in the 2nd quarter of the Saints vs. Lions game? 🤔
If you do, please explain it to @TonyReali like he’s 5 years old… or a Golden Retriever.
