Torbay was the most violent place in Devon and Cornwall last year, with a crime rate of 43 offences for every 1000 people. This needs to be addressed. That's why I met with the founder and CEO of Kulpa this morning. Kulpa is an app which supports the public to securely store and share legally admissible evidence for crime investigations, making it easier to use in a legal process.
This platform is already used by multiple retailers to counter theft and antisocial behaviour. It also has a proven record of producing positive outcomes in prosecutions for crimes against women and girls.
I am interested in implementing this in Torbay to give our community greater control in the ways that our evidence is handled.
