In a university setting, lecturers occupy a position of authority. They are expected to guide and protect their students, not pursue sexual relationships with them. Even if a student initiates such a relationship, university regulations generally require the lecturer to reject it and, where appropriate, report it.

Go and have consensual relationships elsewhere. But your student cannot give consent to a sexual relationship with you because the power imbalance undermines that consent.

And I’m saying this from the perspective of university ethics and professional standards, not from the standpoint of any particular religion.
