🚨 ALLEGED RINGLEADER OF PENN STATE COCAINE TRAFFICKING OPERATION SURRENDERS, DENIED BAIL

The man authorities describe as a leader of an alleged cocaine-trafficking operation involving Penn State students and two fraternities has surrendered after failing to appear for his scheduled arraignment Monday.

Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday announced that Agostino Abbatiello, 24, surrendered Tuesday morning and was arraigned on numerous felony charges, including multiple counts of possession with intent to deliver cocaine and conspiracy.

A judge denied Abbatiello bail, and he was taken into custody.

Abbatiello is one of 14 people charged following an investigation by the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office, State College Police and the 54th Statewide Investigating Grand Jury.

According to investigators, Abbatiello and Thomas Robinson allegedly served as the primary suppliers for the operation, making regular trips to Philadelphia and New York to obtain large quantities of cocaine.

Authorities allege the drugs were brought back to State College, where cocaine was cut and packaged primarily at the Delta Upsilon and Sigma Chi fraternity houses before being distributed largely to Penn State students.

Investigators have alleged that some fraternity pledges were even involved in cutting and packaging cocaine.

Thirteen of the 14 defendants were Penn State students at or around the time of the alleged activity in 2023 and 2024.

Abbatiello, Robinson, Mohammed Hurabi and Lars Zeepvat face felony charges including corrupt organizations, conspiracy and dealing in proceeds of unlawful activity.

Thomas Robinson’s father, Paul Robinson, is also charged. Authorities accuse him of attempting to conceal evidence, including a safe allegedly containing drugs and cash, and obstructing the investigation.

“We are pleased to report that the most significant members of this cocaine-trafficking organization are accounted for,” Sunday said.

The cases will now move toward preliminary hearings.

All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
