The personal became the political for me in 2024. I joined public life because I passionately believe that the @narendramodi -led @BJP4India is destroying India’s precious democratic spaces and I believed and believe in the Opposition’s constitutional fight against the anti-constitutional, communal minded Modi-led BJP bent on fomenting religious wars. I believed, believe and will ALWAYS believe in the remarkable leadership of @MamataOfficial , an inspiration for all women, indeed all citizens in her unflagging courage and value-based politics. What strikes me as bizarre is this culture of winning on one party’s symbol and under the name of one particular leader and then abandoning that party and the leader the moment it faces defeat. If your convictions change with the election result, were they convictions at all? You contest under a party symbol. You ask voters to trust a party platform. You win because of that party’s support and leaders appeal.  Then the party loses and you immediately switch sides.
If loyalty lasts only as long as victory, what exactly was the mandate for? Or is it when Shri @AmitShah and his cronies make a phone call, you obediently line up and all morality ends? SHAME.

भारत की कम्युनिस्ट पार्टी (मार्क्सवादी), दिल्ली राज्य कमेटी, खोड़ा कॉलोनी निवासी युवा सूर्या चौहान की दुखद हत्या पर गहरा शोक व्यक्त करती है तथा शोक-संतप्त परिवार के प्रति अपनी हार्दिक संवेदना प्रकट करती है।

आज सीपीआई(एम) गाजियाबाद जिला कमेटी का एक प्रतिनिधिमंडल सूर्या चौहान के परिवार से मिलने उनके निवास पर ग���ा। प्रतिनिधिमंडल में कामरेड ब्रजेश सिंह, ईश्वर त्यागी, नीरू सेंगर, देवेंद्र शर्मा, तिरफूल सिंह तथा अन्य साथी शामिल थे। प्रतिनिधिमंडल ने परिवार के सदस्यों और स्थानीय लोगों से बातचीत कर स्थिति की जानकारी ली।

प्रतिनिधिमंडल ने पाया कि यह परिवार अत्यंत साधारण आर्थिक पृष्ठभूमि से आता है। सूर्या चौहान के पिता का लगभग एक वर्ष पूर्व निधन हो चुका है। परिवार में उनकी माता, एक भाई और एक विवाहित बहन हैं। परिवार लंबे समय से खोड़ा कॉलोनी में किराये के मकान में रह रहा है और घर का खर्च मुख्यतः उनकी माता की मेहनत-मजदूरी से चलता रहा है। इस दुखद घटना ने परिवार को गहरे सदमे में डाल दिया है। सूर्या की माता की स्थिति अत्यंत व्यथित और दुःखपूर्ण है।

सीपीआई(एम) का मानना है कि इस हत्या की निष्पक्ष, पारदर्शी और कानूनसम्मत जांच होनी चाहिए तथा दोषियों को कानून के अनुसार कठोर सजा मिलनी चाहिए। लेकिन इस दुखद घटना का इस्तेमाल सांप्रदायिक तनाव और राजनीतिक ध्रुवीकरण पैदा करने के लिए किया जाना बेहद खतरनाक और निंदनीय है।

पार्टी हत्या के आरोपी के पुलिस द्वारा किए गए कथित एनकाउंटर तथा उसके परिवार के मकानों पर बुलडोजर चलाने के लिए नोटिस जारी किए जाने जैसी कार्रवाइयों पर गंभीर चिंता व्यक्त करती है। कानून के शासन की जगह एनकाउंटर और बुलडोजर की राजनीति को बढ़ावा देना न्याय ��्यवस्था को कमजोर करता है तथा समाज में प्रतिशोध और विभाजन की भावना को बढ़ाता है।

सीपीआई(एम) यह भी देख रही है कि कुछ सांप्रदायिक संगठन और राजनीतिक ताकतें इस दुखद घटना का उपयोग सांप्रदायिक भावनाओं को भड़काने और दो समुदायों के बीच तनाव पैदा करने के लिए कर रही हैं। राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ (आरएसएस), बजरंग दल तथा अन्य सांप्रदायिक शक्तियों द्वारा माहौल को गर्माने और सामाजिक सद्भाव को नुकसान पहुंचाने क�� कोशिशों की पार्टी कड़े शब्दों में निंदा करती है।

सीपीआई(एम) प्रशासन से मांग करती है कि वह कानून-व्यवस्था बनाए रखने के साथ-साथ किसी भी प्रकार की सांप्रदायिक उकसावेबाजी, नफरत फैलाने वाली गतिविधियों और अफवाहों पर तत्काल रोक लगाए तथा दोषियों के खिलाफ सख्त कार्रवाई करे।

हम सभी नागरिकों से भी अपील करते हैं कि वे शांति, संयम और भाईचारे को बनाए रखें तथा किसी भी अफवाह या सांप्रदायिक प्रचार का हि���्सा न बनें। एक परिवार के दुख और एक युवा की हत्या को राजनीतिक तथा सांप्रदायिक लाभ के लिए इस्तेमाल करने की किसी भी कोशिश को समाज द्वारा अस्वीकार किया जाना चाहिए।

किसी ने पत्रकार हत्या में आद���णीय राम रहीम जी को बरी किया। किसी ने माननीय मोदी जी की डिग्री के निरीक्षण के आदेश को रद्द कर दिया तो कोई अमित शाह जी के खिलाफ ��ाचिका में राजनीतिक साजिश होने का संदेह रखता था। एक माननीय ने तो यह भी आदेश दिया कि पत्नी का शारीरिक संबंध से मना करना क्रूरता है।

मुझे आशा है यह सभी आदरणीय देश में न्याय रथ को आगे ले जायेंगे और आम जनता इसी तरह खुशहाल रहेगी। आप सभी को इस तुच्छ नागरिक की बधाई।
