India did not inherit a ready-made nation in 1947. It faced Partition, refugees, poverty, princely states, communal violence and fragile institutions. Yet it chose universal suffrage, a Constitution and democracy. India was built—imperfectly, deliberately, democratically.
@WhateverVishal You’re beyond redemption. You should really check where you’re getting your knowledge from before confidently spreading historical nonsense.
@Yash_123_456@DrNimoYadav I think you missed the sarcasm. And on top of that, we’re trying to move away from caste, and now you’re asking me to define who counts as an “actual Brahmin.”
Today’s protest quota done? Show up, sit around for a while, grab some lunch, get the photo ops and head home. At this point it looks less like leading a protest and more like showing up after students and ordinary people did the hard work, just in time to collect the headlines and credit.
@MrSadanand That’s human nature, not something exclusive to believers. People are quick to take credit for the good and blame someone else for the bad.
@itsnwts You’re mixing up prevention and consequences. Workshops and lectures try to prevent this; real consequences matter too. We need both. Preventing rape is better than dealing with it after it happens.
When I see your tweets, you’re proud to be Muslim. So that line about “believing what you want in private” applies to you too. No religion has a monopoly on bloodshed or moral failures. If you’re going to condemn Christianity, first apply the same standards to Islam and acknowledge its own history of violence instead of pretending it’s all virtue and peace.
AI isn’t a magic wand. Writing emails is far simpler than building robots that navigate mines, handle toxic chemicals, and work reliably under strict safety requirements. Robots already do some hazardous work, but scaling that takes hardware, engineering, testing, and money. You can’t download an excavator.
@DivinelyDesined Then who designed “intelligent designer”? If even a simple life form needs a creator, why does something intelligent enough to design all life get a free pass? You’ve just moved the mystery back one step.
Are you high? Ambedkar chaired the Drafting Committee and deserves immense credit. But the Constitution was a collective effort involving B. N. Rau, other committee members and the Constituent Assembly. You owe them an apology for erasing their work to credit one person. Think about it when you’re sober.
Then where do Maulana Azad, Sarojini Naidu, Dadabhai Naoroji, Gokhale, Rajagopalachari, Kamaraj and countless other freedom fighters fit in your idea of India? Did their contributions matter any less?
You can honour Gandhi, Ambedkar and Nehru without reducing India to three people.
While studying law in London, Gandhi joined the London Vegetarian Society’s executive committee. In his autobiography, he recalled attending its meetings but feeling too tongue-tied to speak; on one occasion, another member read his prepared remarks aloud.
Quite a beginning for someone who would later mobilise millions.
There’s plenty to attack Modi on. You picked a weak comparison and an insult to everyone who couldn’t get an education.
what’s with looking down on people without formal education? Many of our grandparents never got that chance. That doesn’t make them stupid or less capable.
If you’re so educated, compare the yearly returns first. These are different time periods, and the stock market alone doesn’t tell you how well a government has performed. India grows faster than the US—does that mean we’re doing better overall?
@ambedkariteIND This is a dumb comparison, and a dangerous one too. Judge Godse and Udham Singh by their actions. Why drag their entire communities into it? Has nobody from your community ever committed a crime? Would you accept being judged by their actions?
