ਅੱਜ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਵਿਖੇ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਸਵੈ-ਇੱਛਾ ਖ਼ੂਨਦਾਨ ਦਿਵਸ ਸਮਾਰੋਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਿਲ ਹੋਣਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਅਥਾਹ ਮਾਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਅਨੁਭਵ ਸੀ।ਪੰਜਾਬ 'ਤੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਮਾਣ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇੱਥੇ 99% ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਖ਼ੂਨਦਾਨ ਸਵੈ-ਇੱਛਾ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ—ਇਹ ਅੰਕੜਾ ਸਾਡੀ ਸੇਵਾ-ਭਾਵਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਮਨੁੱਖਤਾ ਦੀ ਜਿਉਂਦੀ ਜਾਗਦੀ ਮਿਸਾਲ ਹੈ। ਹਰ ਇੱਕ ਉਸ ਮਹਾਨ ਸੇਵਾਦਾਰ, ਸਤਿਕਾਰਯੋਗ ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਰਪਿਤ NGO ਨੂੰ ਤਹਿ-ਦਿਲੋਂ ਨਮਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਖ਼ੂਨ ਦਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਂ ਹੋਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਨੇਕ ਕਾਰਜ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕਰਕੇ ਅਣਗਿਣਤ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀਆਂ ਬਚਾਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਜਨ ਅੰਦੋਲਨ ਦਾ ਰੂਪ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
