Marko told Austrian newspaper Krone:
“The fact that the book is being published on the very day Dietrich Mateschitz died is an embarrassment.”

Horner recently claimed that Marko failed to offer condolences following the death of Beverley Allen, Horner's former partner and the mother of his daughter, in June 2025.
Horner said:
“He didn't even offer his condolences. That wasn't very classy.”
But, On 21 October, German motorsport publication F1-Insider reported that it had obtained an authentic WhatsApp exchange contradicting that claim.
-A message informing Marko of Beverley's death arrived at 1:53 a.m.
-At 4:22 a.m., a reply was sent in the names of Helmut Marko and his partner, Nicole.
-The reply expressed sympathy for Horner and both families, specifically mentioning his daughter Olivia.
-The message reportedly included the words:
“So sad, my heart is with your family and Beverley's family. And especially with Olivia.”
