@ucok_johnson It can be based on the merit of its moderation tools. But I think the different between chat-based and forum-based is that the latter incentivizes you to really really think about it before posting. Used to have this rules made for one-liner on certain threads.

Twitter is just no longer the place for sensible and tolerant interactions. Debate Club @kaskus used to differentiate by tagging a thread with [Clean] and [Free]. The former where you can have actual and healthy exchange, the latter is for any insults inconceivable by human minds

Sometimes I kind of miss the old pre-woke “tolerance” liberalism of the late 2000s and early 2010s where people at least tried not to be maximally judgmental of everyone, like that was an aspiration. Now everyone just chomps at the bit to call everyone else “subhuman cattle”.

@HolisticAbdi Iirc there were significant changes in terms of gameplay and graphics from ‘12 to ‘13 and I hated them for that (though I get used to it after). But, still ‘12 is memorable and had that installed to my laptop back in the days. Could never play FIFA though.
