BJP’s Mohan Yadav government has turned Bhopal’s public bicycle scheme into a taxpayer-funded scrap yard.

Hundreds of bicycles appear to be abandoned and rusting away after the usual government ritual:

He is the Chief Minister of a State.

This is not a street-corner troll account.
This is not a local WhatsApp group admin.
This is not some random party worker shouting in anger.

This is a constitutional office.

A CM can criticize opponents. A CM can attack policies. A CM can defend his party. But the language must still carry the dignity of the chair.

When people sitting in high office speak like this, the message is clear:

Politics has become cheaper than a roadside argument.

Power should bring responsibility.
Public office should bring restraint.
But some leaders think abusive language is leadership and crowd claps are validation.

India does not need more loudmouth politicians.

India needs leaders who can speak with facts, dignity and accountability.

This was our post the day Atul Subhash committed suicide. It was a shock for us, because he was our volunteer MRA and he was surrounded by dozens of volunteers and experts.

Many in social media still used clichéd argument,"Atul Subhash did not get any help. He was suffering from depression." Lawyers lied,"Legal remedies were available for him at Uttar Padesh. He did not use them."

As we had partnership with a therapy company, Atul had access to 5 sessions of free therapy. He had many MRA friends nearby, who listen without judging him.

Atul was staring at Rs. 200,000 per month alimony. It was just a matter of time. Indian judges arbitrarily order men to pay alimony. More the alimony, less is the chance for divorce.

He and his parents were facing multiple false criminal cases at Jaunpur, which is thousands of miles away from where he used to work. He did unpaid work of educating and building his wife's career. She believed,"Men do not feel pain." She levelled extremely serious allegations against him.

Atul planned for months to kill himself and he did not give a clue to MRAs around him. He knew, he has to give Rs.200,000 alimony per month, even if he loses his job and no judge will listen to arguments about job loss. He knew, he has to pay in crores to buy a divorce.

He knew, society will not take the plight of millions of men like him seriously, unless he does something drastic. He not only sacrificed his life, he sacrificed any happiness that is left in his parents and his brother.

Now ask yourself, Women were killing their children, throwing acid on men and even attacking and killing husbands before Atul's death. Was the society as outraged as it is today after killing of Raja Raghuvanshi and Ketan Agarwal? Do not you think, Sonam Raghuvanshi and Siya Goyal may have gotten away with a lot less condemnation?

Atul planned his suicide for months. But he also saw the future and he wanted to warn men. 2.5 years have passed away.

A Rapido driver was beaten in Nagpur by Auto Mafia. As usual, Police refused to lodge the FIR when he went to the Police Station to report the assault. Panicked rider posted a video and declared that in future he will carry weapon with him to stay safe instead of depending on the Police for his safety.
Police reached his house at midnight to ask him to delete the video. If Police will fail to ensure the safety of the citizens then what other option we citizens do have?
