Indian External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar concludes a successful visit to #SriLanka, the first by any foreign dignitary since #AnuraKumaraDissanayake formed a new government in Colombo after presidential elections.

@DrSJaishankar met newly-elected Sri Lankan President Dissanayake and other key Sri Lankan leaders. Dr. Jaishankar reaffirmed India’s full support in Sri Lanka’s #EconomicRecovery while President Dissanayake assured Dr. Jaishankar that their territory would never be allowed to be used in a manner inimical to #IndianSecurity interests.

Analysts say India’s quick and proactive diplomatic engagement with the new Sri Lankan government and President Dissanayake’s positive response will strengthen #IndiaSriLanka ties and maintain India’s role as ‘the security provider in the #IndianOceanRegion,’ despite Dissanayake coming from the leftist National People’s Power alliance, which has maintained good relations with China.

‘8th Mokhada Medical & #HealthcareCamp’ was held successfully at Koshimshet village for Wada, Mokhada and Jawhar talukas of #Palghar district on Sunday, 29th September 2024, by Shree Aniruddha Aadesh Pathak, the Dilasa Medical Trust & Rehabilitation Centre and allied organisations.
– 918 #villagers from 15 villages took benefit of the free facilities provided.
– 238 volunteers, including 24 doctors, 27 paramedics and 25 optometrists, organised #MedicalCheckups as well as the #FreeDistribution of medicines & food, etc.
– 363 patients visited the #Optometry OPD, out of which 315 were given spectacles for free.
– Like earlier camps, this time, 122 patients needing further treatment were referred to the @SMBTGroup Hospital at #Nasik.
The Medical & Healthcare Camps at various places in Palghar district conducted by Shree Aniruddha Aadesh Pathak, the Dilasa Medical Trust & Rehabilitation Centre and allied organisations are helping the villagers in these remote villages to overcome disease, #poverty and hunger.
