I think one of the best stories about Eminem I ever heard was when he turned down what was rumored to be a $300โ400 million tour deal just because he wanted to be a father. 50 Cent explained that Eminem turned down the request so many times, he had to ask why and Em said; โI just donโt want to go and come back and Hailieโs grown.โ
Most people wouldnโt understand why he said that. Theyโd call him crazy. Theyโd say opportunities like that donโt come twice. But this brother was already rich. He already sold millions of records. Fame wasnโt the prize anymore. What he was protecting was time. Presence. The one thing you canโt buy back once itโs gone.
If you really know Eminemโs story, from his mother, to the chaos, to the instability, to the women and the damage youโd understand this wasnโt weakness or fear. It was awareness. He knew exactly what absence does to a child because he grew up inside it. And when he finally had daughters of his own, he made a decision to break the cycle instead of feeding it with more success.
He found something money couldnโt buy and thatโs why Mockingbird wasnโt just a song. It was a promise to his daughter...
@ArchWSmith@commonman141@volklub You are not giving any facts or data yourselves. Your line of argument is - people are not dying/mass hospitalised.
Stop embarrassing yourself.
Donโt take work too seriously. Enjoy life - you will never in your life experience the mental and physical energy that you have in your early 20s. Travel, spend, buy what makes you happy - you have plenty of time to catch-up on your career goals and earn money to save for future.
Wish i was born in the 1970 and could live my adult life in 90s-2010. Smartphones were a luxury rather than a necessity, the cost of internet was high and less people on internet spreading negativity. While that era would have had its own struggles, people seemed happier.
That era was of clean-shaven and low-processed food.
Now everyone wants to show facial hair and eat highly processed food, do too much of gym and get cosmetic surgery.
Apparently, these below men would be considered relatively feminine now.
Itโs really sad to see that so many people have totally replaced the experience of going to a theatre with OTTs.
For me, nothing beats a big screen experience. Buy a ticket, turn your phone to silent and just be there for 3 hrs watching every moment with a focus on every detail.
