Day 0 : of building my own Windows software.
Been wanting to make a file manager that actually looks good , feels smooth , supports custom themes and doesn't eat up too much RAM.
Started setting up the foundation today using C++ and Qt.
Let's see how this goes. ✌️
a delay nobody notices in a chat app makes a cursor feel drunk. turning a phone into a trackpad is mostly chasing milliseconds your eyes miss and your hand doesn't
first screen of any unsigned windows app isn't your ui, it's the blue 'windows protected your pc' box. how are solo devs handling code signing without a company card?
self-taught is writing your own debounce with setTimeout and a global variable, then finding out it has a name and an npm package with more downloads than anything you'll ever ship
codex usage ran out mid build and i'm suddenly the junior on my own codebase. when your limit hits, do you wait for the reset or open the file and pretend you know how it works
@zachmoskow@concentrateai honestly just a live counter in the cli and a heads up at 80%. crazy high limits are great but i'd rather know i'm at 80 than find out at 100 mid refactor
@GergelyOrosz@Uptime_Labs@samnewman root cause is sitting in message one, 'testing my checkout service change in prod'. the sim even nails pinging stevie instead of scrolling up
@kapilansh_twt fleeing usage limits to claude. the refugee camp has a weekly cap too, it just tells you you're absolutely right before locking the door
