@karthik2k2 1/n As a pharma person , I know that generic drugs are not that bad . But there are some loopholes . 1st - My Pantoprazole + domperidone has Mrp - 139/ 10 tabs , while the branded generics have Mrp starting from - 210 ₹ to 350 . Even after discounts they will cost much higher

@oshowed 5/n many cases which were diagnosed wrong . And when they reached PGI or any other big premier institute , the diagnose was totally different. Even the other local gov hospital Doctors also say - “ please get the scan done from xyz radiologist only , his reports r accurate “

@oshowed 1/n I was also very curious as well as annoyed , to see patients running in PGI CHD from here to there for different tests ( XRAY , CT SCAN , MRI , DEXA LAB WORK ) . Once I got an opportunity and asked one of the PROFESSORS that why PGI ( generally) don’t rely on outside

@oshowed 4/n all those tests . We accept the outside reports and scans also but a review is required so that we can get assurance before treating any patient at first hand. Even if we are skeptical about even our institute’s reports , we order a re-test “.

@oshowed 3/n and as a premier institute we have protocols which don’t allow us to communicate with the outside healthcare people without proper permission. Also while considering the internal reports and tests , we many times , communicate and collaborate with the person behind doing

@oshowed 2/n tests ? The reply was very reasonable and accurate ( as I have seen why he was right ) . He replied- “ Most of the centres have part time radiologists and the lab machines are not maintained as per standards. We have to keep these standards as people have utmost faith in us

@venom1s Not possible until you outperform the world’s best hedge funds . They ( combining all hedge funds ) , in 1 year , generate an average return of max , 36 % , i.e 3 % per month after all deductions . You are expecting 5 % per month .

@sabeer Collection of garbage will only create a large single heap instead of multiple small ones . The solution is how to dispose it off with the least harmful effects to the nature . People will not change . So don’t expect that “CHANGE” will be a solution.

@IndianGems_ Have just talked to a person , who is a contractor for installing the iron grills on the highway’s divider . A whopping 40 % he has to give for obtaining the contract . Now , imagine what would be the quality in remaining 60 % of funds .

@ImMemesupplier Its all about inner conscience. My frnd has chemist shop . His total bad debt if categorised , 80 % is frm so called poor people and 20 % is from middle class . Poor people live on rent and they change their location overnight, while the middle class ppl neither repay nor deny .

@docakx This is still a matter of debate even among ent doctors. I have seen rx of some ENT doctors prescribing xylo/oxy - metazoline for more than two weeks and some ENT Docs not prescribing these at all ( even the pharmacies in their premises have zero sale of both of these and 1/n

@DocPriyamMD and the next day the issue was solved . Then I realised, history taking is of utmost importance in clinical evaluation, but now a days , it is out of fashion . Doctors should listen to their patients properly, they are already elaborating their diagnosis 2/n
