I received a flight confirmation for a trip I never booked.
Nairobi to Dubai.
Business class.
Leaving the next morning.
I called the airline.
They confirmed the reservation.
The ticket was paid in cash.
I asked them to cancel it.
They did.
Then the employee asked:
“Are you sure you didn’t book this?”
“Yes.”
“Because your passport number is attached to it.”
I froze.
I hadn’t given anyone my passport information.
The airline canceled the ticket.
I thought that was the end.
Two hours later…
