To feed a family of 5 with average meal in a middle class city in Nigeria....You need at least N200,000...
If you add gas, rent, health, Education and other miscellaneous... A man and his wife must earn at least N400,000 monthly to keep the family afloat...
Unfortunately most Nigeria family can't earn up to N400,000 monthly...
For the simpleton.... The easiest way out is to increase minimum wage possibly to N300,000 or N400,000....
Unfortunately it would fix it in a productive economy.... but in Nigeria it won't... because most Nigerians are not productive...
With N400,000 catering for a family of 5... it makes Nigeria one of the cheapest country to live on earth.....
N400,000 is just about $300....
A family of one can hardly survive on $300 in most countries on Earth not to talk of 5...
Raising minimum wage to N400,000 is not the solution as it could quickly raise prices and make N400,000 worthless...
In the 70s ...the era of " money na water" There was an Udoji wage award that increased wages by as much as over 100%... the reckless wage increased kill the once strong Naira...
So many money chased few goods... importation surge and value of Naira plunge....
Poverty is not fought with annual minimum wage increased...
If govs modernize basic education....Most households would take their kids off private schools and save as much as N1 million annually.... 25% of basic school kids in
Nigeria attend private schools... it's only 5% in The UK...
Fix basic health.... make health insurance compulsory.... reform the federal mortgage bank, fix electricity to guarantee at least 14hrs power daily.... NELFUND is already on point..... Expand Creditcorp....
With these reforms cost of living for family of 5 could drop to N250,000....
Family earning below this threshold could get double or triple jobs possibly agro business or online trade to be comfortable....This would grow Nigeria economy....
That is how it's done even in developed countries....
Those breeding more kids must engage in family planning and stop creating more Cr!m!nals to terrorize us...or bring kids to endure suffering....
As wage increase so do cost of living....It's a law....
For those advocating for minimum wage increase annually....They are the reason why the Urhobos say..
It is better to born a thief than to born a mumu...
Proverbs are not for kids....

A significant victory in the ongoing fight against terr0rism.
This Fulani man was recently released alongside his Chinese boss by the terrorists. He explained how some Fulani from Chad are travelling to Nigeria to kidnap Nigerians for ransom.
But I think the Fulani leaders in Nigeria need to speak out more at this time.
BREAKING: Jimoh Ibrahim, Nigeria's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, has been elected Chairman of the UN Fifth Committee, which handles budget, finance, and administration.
The UN General Assembly’s Fifth Committee is the primary body that oversees the organization's budgets, including the biennial regular budget, peacekeeping operations, human resources management, and member state assessments.
If Tinubu’s reforms are truly working, how come the man on the street is not feeling the positive impact of the reforms? Where are the jobs?
At what point will the common man on the street begin to benefit from these reforms? 👇👇👇

An IPO is not a lottery ticket.
It is an invitation to become a part owner of a business.
The Dangote Refinery IPO is the most significant version of that invitation the Nigerian market has ever extended to retail investors.
