Acts 10:38 NKJV
[38] how God anointed Jesus( Bọ̀dé) of Nazareth(Ibadan) with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.

I got a call from a seventeen year old lady who is a student of the University of Abuja.
She was very distressed
I asked her what was wrong
She said her father told her to enrol for NELFUND and she knows her father is very rich and cab afford to pay her tuition out of his pocket
She said she will like me to talk to her father, who happens to be a friend not to let her go into debt which she would have to repay after graduation.
I called her name three times and said "Stop allowing your mum to put words in your mouth. Stop allowing your mum to manipulate you this way.
Your parents are not together anymore, your father has been responsible gor your education and that of your sister since you are born.
He is a professor.
He says you should apply for NELFUND, why ate you protesting against his instructions?
She said: Because i dont think it is a good idea for me to graduate and be owing the government over one million Naira wheny father has the money to pay my school fees.
I replied: Go and apply for the NELFUND, collect also the monthly stipend. If your state is doing Bursary, apply for that too. You are seventeeb years old and you should begin to think for yourself and plan for your future.
Find every means to become financially independent and be prudent with your finances.
This playbook from your mum in which she will counter your father's instruction to you and you will gullibly tow her line should stop.
Your father's instruction is what is best for you.
The campaign by your mum that your father must pay your fees out of his pocket is bitterness and emotional manipulation and by now you should be able to identify that move by now.
She said: Thank you sir.
Today believe that you are never alone—that your miracle-working God sees you, cares about you, and will come to your aid. He is still the great I AM~@MaxLucado
When it is your turn to save souls for Jesus, tell them you are selling temporary life and not eternal life
Na you sabi
Tell them your own fruits don’t abide, na you know
As For me:
John 15:16
You have not chosen me, but I have chosen you. And I have appointed you, so that you may go forth and bear fruit, and so that your fruit may last. Then whatever you have asked of the Father in my name, he shall give to you.
Happy Anniversary to me
Jesus chose me and appointed me so that I may go forth and bear fruit and so that my fruits may endure, abide, last.

The people you love are on borrowed time.
One day your parents will call for the last time.
One day there will be no more family dinners.
No more familiar voices.
No more ordinary moments.
Life doesn’t announce these endings.
It quietly turns them into memories.
Call your parents.
Visit your family.
Spend time with people you love.
Because one day you’ll wish for one more conversation.
And life doesn’t negotiate with time.
He takes long walks, especially when the home front is hot.
His avoidance game is top-notch
You challenge him to have a debate, a sit-down, a fight, a conversation, a slugging it out
He refuses to engage you on the hot coals of emotion
He prefers cooler heads than hot potatoes
When he sees that you are ready for the conversation without hysterics, he calls for it
You call this manipulative because you prefer to argue with passion rather than logic
You prefer to vent rather than reason
You wanted it hot rather than served cold
He is not evil, he is just careful because he knows things said in anger can cause irreparable damage
He: To be fair, even if I am the one saying so, I can beat my chest and say that I am the best husband in the world to the woman I was married to for thirteen years.
I had my flaws, but they didn't include cheating on her with another person, either physically or emotionally, or physical violence.
Towards the end of the marriage, I stopped having sexual relations with her for eleven months.
I also stopped eating her food.
I was tired of the union, and I was determined to enforce a change from her, or part ways with her as amicably as possible.
What was it that I wanted her to change?
We had an agreement when we got married that we would build on our strengths as a couple and eliminate our weaknesses. We had the conversation at the famous Jevinik restaurant right after I graduated from the FRCN training school.
She was already a broadcast journalist at the time, while I was a writer peddling my writings (manuscripts) about looking for a publisher who would publish my work so that I could qualify for the NNLG annual awards and win some big money.
A friend of mine published a book, and I was invited to the launch and public reading of her work at Victoria Island. I was invited to read three of the poems in the poetry book, and my baritone voice stole the show.
Some of the writers and broadcasters present at the launch took a notice of me and came round to commend me after my reading.
They took my number and promised to reach out to me.
My wife was there too.
At the time, she was single, popular, and well celebrated.
She came around as I was getting some biscuits while basking in the accolades and asked if I had some written works of my own. I said I did, and she said she would like to read them.
I always carried some copies of my manuscripts with me.
I immediately gave her a copy of each of two different novels I had written.
She promised to read them and asked if I would come to an event happening the following Saturday at the Oriental Hotel, Lagos for her feedback.
I went to the event as her guest, and it turned out that she was winning an award for her broadcasting work and she had no one to celebrate it with but me.
That was our first date!
She got the award, and I stood up and cheered her all the way.
After the award, we went to dinner together at Four Points by Sheraton, and we had a very long night of talking and sharing about life, our dreams, and aspirations.
She made me an offer.
She was twenty-eight, alone in this world, and desperate to have a family. I was thirty, an unpublished writer without any financial support whatsoever and without a stable source of income (I was a freelance journalist and I was also a reporter for a show on LTV at this time, but not a staff member of LTV)
She said she would sponsor the publication of my books (I had written ten novels, four plays, and two collections of poems) in exchange for my hand in marriage.
She would be my patron, and I would be her husband.
I agreed.
She swung into action and introduced me to some prolific writers and literary critics who read my works and recommended them for publication.
Some publishers showed serious interest, but nothing panned out.
Meanwhile, we were already having serious sex and planning our wedding.
She also gave me some money towards my writing projects occasionally. Mostly, whenever I got frustrated and threatened to quit the marriage to find greener pastures abroad.
I believed in my creative ability, and I was sure it would one day bring me some great fortune.
I was, however, unable to convince anyone of note, even with my wife's influence, to do the same.
She started dropping babies. I became a family man. I stayed at home and wrote or went out for the occasional freelance gig.
She would offer me one piece of good news or the other about my works being published, but nothing ever panned out.
Eventually, I met a publisher at the Wole Soyinka Award for Investigative Journalism event in 2019.
This was eight years into the marriage and three children after.
The publisher said he had never heard of me but would sincerely read my work and get back to me.
I deliberately didn't mention this development to my wife.
I got published online, and the work made a lot of money both locally and internationally under a pseudonym.
The publisher who stuck out an arm for me to bring my talent into fulfilment was a woman. Our relationship was professional, and I met with her only three times.
That night at the award ceremony (My wife won an award, and I went to offer her my support), the day she called me to sign a contract with her publishing firm after one of my books got accepted at DorranK publishers, and the day she explained to me that they had to use a pseudonym because they wanted the audience to resonate with my brand.
I didn't know anything about the woman beyond what I had stated.
My wife, however, saw the woman as a threat. I still cannot understand why.
She called the woman every evil name she could think of and forbade me from talking to or contacting the woman again, if I don't want her to destroy the woman's name and career on social media and in real life!
I didn't bother telling her about my work getting published for two reasons.
I had come to realise that my wife didn't want me to be a published writer despite what we agreed on before we got married.
She felt being published would change our arrangement, and I would be persuaded to leave her if I became successful.
"Why rock the boat?"
I came to know this when I saw the email she sent to her aunt in London, who asked her what I was doing apart from being married to her and how she was coping with the jobless man she had married.
Family members overestimate their kinfolks. Instead of them being grateful that their girl eventually got a man who helped her fulfil her dream of having a family, they all treated me like I was a leech living off their girl.
When I received my first payment, I took my wife to dinner to tell her the good news.
I practically murdered sleep from that day.
My success triggered her insecurities in a manner that was similar to Sherman Klump becoming Buddy Love.
The kind natured, encouraging and warm woman became a witch or sorts overnight.
Accusations began to fly everywhere. She even swore that she was never going to spend a penny of my blood money.
Suddenly I was a cheat, an ingrate and a philanderer.
She began to record our conversations, screen grab chat exchanges, and gathering evidence in general so that she would get to keep the children after our divorce.
She said she knew she failed to deliver on her part of the contract we agreed upon but it was not for want of trying.
She said It was a breech of contract for me to reach out to someone else to help me and it showed a lack of trust in what we were building.
She said she felt I loved our family but I had shown that my personal ambition was all i cared about.
At a point the guerilla warfare was too much for me.
Peace today, war tomorrow. A smile today, a total meltdown tomorrow. Asking me why I never loved her today and saying she knew I was unfulfilled tomorrow.
I called for a meeting and told her to stop.
I had a contract to write more.
My manuscripts of several years ago were being upgraded by other writers and published by my publishers under my pseudonym, and they were asking for more.
I had been paid an advance for some more books, and I needed a peaceful atmosphere to do my work.
Chaos was never my thing, and that was primarily why I never considered cheating on her.
I needed silence psychologically, emotionally, and physically.
She cranked up the chaos after that meeting. Claiming I was gaslighting her for complaining of being betrayed.
That was why and when I stopped having sex with her.
I was fed up.
I am an emotional being, too, and I can only take so much toxicity before exploding.
She said I should give all my earnings to charity if I love her and want to keep my family.
I love my children, and she knew this. I spent all my time raising them while she bossed the corridors of politics and broadcasting all over the nation.
She said she would take them from me. I told myself she wouldn't dare because it would be self-sabotage in my opinion.
Where would she put them?
She took them a few days ago.
I got home from a meeting in Brussels today to meet an empty house and a court summons under the door.
She has made good her threat and shattered my world.
What do I do now, brother Gbenga?
Me: Move to a hotel for a while, cry, eat, sleep, and write.
Write furiously
Document your emotions and write this experience through various lenses
Your lens
Your wife's lens
Your children's lens (one at a time)
Document both families' reactions
Go to court with a good lawyer and present all the evidence you have
She cannot keep the children
You are not a poor man who cannot fight for your children and the right to stay in their lives, so fight hard!
Whatever you do, don't let her blackmail you into choosing between fulfilling your dreams and being a part of your children's lives
Write the experience in a unique way, publish it, and make money off your pain.
Heal and find love.
You can afford to find true love now, so search for it with all your heart until you find it (don't buy it)
Invest your money, live a modest life, and write as much as you can until you are rich enough to publish your works under your own name.
It will take a few days, but you will be fine.

Both families were attending the same church.
An Air Vice Marshall (A deacon in the church), his wife (A deaconess in the church), and their four children. Three girls and one boy.
The second family was made up of a Teacher (a deacon in the church), his wife (A deaconess in the church and their four children (All girls)
The Air Vice Admiral's daughter got pregnant at the age of 17. His father flew him and his other children to their house in the USA, where they were well taken care of until she delivered a baby boy
The teacher's first daughter got pregnant at the age of 17.
The other boy, responsible for the pregnancy, refused to take responsibility for it, and it became a huge scandal.
The parents were removed from serving among the deaconate because the scripture says a man who has no rulership over his family is not fit to lead the church.
The other man and his wife were still in the deaconate. The AVM's wife, who was leading the Young Women's group in church before her daughter got pregnant, returned to Nigeria and continued to lead the group as if nothing had happened.
Her deputy, who stood in the gap for her while she was abroad caring for her daughter, expected her to resign upon returning home, and she also expected the pastor to suspend the AVM and his wife from the deaconate for raising a daughter who got pregnant out of wedlock
The church didn't do what she expected.
She saw it as a double standard and raised this with some members of the church who were willing to listen to her.
How can two deacons have daughters who committed the same blunder, and only one deacon was suspended while the other was left to continue his duty as if nothing had happened?
Why would the church treat the rich and successful like eggs and treat the poor and faithful as stones? If we have favouritism in the world, why do we also have it in the church?
The rumors became a big issue, and the church was soon overtaken by grumblings and unrest on every side.
The senior pastor of the church called all the members to a meeting.
He invited the two families and all their children to sit on the front row.
The church was filled to capacity.
He read aloud 1 Timothy 3 from Verse 1
"Here is a trustworthy saying: Whoever aspires to be an overseer desires a noble task.
2 Now the overseer is to be above reproach, faithful to his wife, temperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach,
3 not given to drunkenness, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money.
4 He must manage his own family well and see that his children obey him, and he must do so in a manner worthy of full respect. 5 (If anyone does not know how to manage his own family, how can he take care of God’s church?)."
He then looked at the church and said, "I have heard a lot of you were complaining that the church has been unfair in the way we handled certain recent developments among the deaconates and the church as a whole.
I was told we were being accused of favouritism and aiding and abetting sin.
This was why I asked everybody to come with their Bibles today, and I made sure we all read the passage above on our feet, so that nobody would say I slept off.
How many of you heard any noise or saw any fight, public disagreement, scandal, or anything of disrepute or injurious to the reputation of the AVM, his wife, the church, the deaconate, or even the girl who got pregnant, happening when the AVM's daughter got pregnant?
If you heard anything, can you please raise your hand and come forward to explain to us what you heard?
The pastor waited.
No hand was raised.
The church was dead silent.
After a few minutes' pause, the pastor took the microphone and said:
How many of you heard any noise or saw any fight, public disagreement, scandal, or anything of disrepute or injurious to the reputation of Deacon Teacher, his wife, the church, the deaconate, or even the girl who got pregnant, happening when the Teacher's daughter got pregnant?
Everybody in the church raised their hands.
So if I ask you which of the two men has managed his family well and properly according to the scripture we have read, which of the two deacons would you choose?
The whole church replied, "The AVM".
Our focus was never on who got pregnant and why. That is not the business of the church. It is the business of the family of the young man and the woman who got pregnant, and their families.
If they handled it neatly and informed the church that their daughter is pregnant, and the family has accepted the pregnancy with love, and would like the church to pray along for the safe delivery of the baby.
The church will then joyfully receive the news and pray along with the family.
If, however, the daughter of a deacon or member gets pregnant, the family is thrown into chaos, and the two families get into a public feud in which the police get involved, street fights, cursing, bitterness and enmity, words get traded, blames go round, the church gets dragged into it, other deacons gets dragged into it, the pastorate gets dragged into it and the name of the church gets dragged in the mud for it.
The church will have to make some decisions, and the decisions will be taken not because somebody got pregnant but because the man who was supposed to handle it with wisdom and maturity did not do so.
Suspending Deacon Teacher and his wife from the deaconate was not a decision we made because their daughter got pregnant.
It was a decision we made because they didn't handle the fallout of the pregnancy the right way.
Is there anybody with questions?
One hand went up.
Question: Sir, are you saying the church has no right to punish fornication? We know the girls who got pregnant were not married, and we know they had sex or were having sex, which led to the pregnancy.
Pastor: Good Question. The church has no duty, right, or legal authority to punish two people who are having or who have had sexual relations outside of marriage.
What the church can do is fraternal correction, which is aimed at guiding the individual to repentance.
In the cases at hand, this was not needed as the sexual relations led to pregnancies, and lessons have been learnt all around.
We all know that if they had been using condoms, contraceptives, or if both of them had been influenced by their parents or other adults to get an abortion, nobody here, sometimes not even the parents, would know that they had started having sex, and none of the events that happened thereafter would have happened.
The Pastor turned to the two families:
I am happy, and this is my opinion, that the two families are keeping the baby.
On the issue of babies, the responsibility and care for the child are usually the issue.
Both families are capable.
Being a grandparent at an early age is a blessing. As a pastor, I have the benefit of foresight and hindsight that many parents and church members do not have.
The two children will grow up to lead their generations if their grandparents see them as blessings and raise them as such.
Make sure the biological fathers and their family members sign them over to you permanently (If they denied the pregnancy), adopt them from your daughters so that she can be free to pursue life and make something of her life.
Raise that baby as your last child and give him or her your name.
In twenty years, you will look back and thank God you were wise enough to preserve the destiny of the child and the legacy of your family.
God bless you.
With that, the meeting closed, and the church members left with every grudge quelled.
PS: Hope you learned something.

My faith is alive, active, and prevailing; circumstances align with my faith-filled confessions, and I rule, reign, and dominate my world by my faith. I’ve taken hold of the eternal realities of the Kingdom, walking in the full blessings of the Gospel of Christ! My life is for the glory of God. The power of God is at work in me; sickness doesn’t stand a chance and cannot dwell in me. The power of God is at work in my life, I can never be defeated by disease or infirmity, in Jesus Name. Amen.
And what shall I more say? For the time would fail me to tell of Gideon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets: Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions (Hebrews 11:32-33).
As Christians, we ought to apply our faith in God’s Word to deal with situations and challenges. In the faith’s hall of fame, the Bible talks about certain men and women who, through their faith, performed great feats for the Kingdom of God (Hebrews 11:32-33). These apostles of faith subdued kingdoms and did supernatural things in their time; they ruled their world!
The Bible talked about how they wrought righteousness, meaning when others conformed to error, they stood their ground for the truth and prevailed. They were like the children of Issachar, who the Bible says had an understanding of the times (1 Chronicles 12:32).
By your faith, you too can do great things in your world today. You can work righteousness and breathe life back into situations that were hitherto dead. Through your faith, you can revive that business that’s been grounded! You can perform so well in your business or career that the world will marvel at you. Faith is your currency; rule your world with it.
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth (John 1:14).
God spoke the Word in recreating and restoring order to the earth after it became a dark, chaotic mass. In the midst of the darkness and chaos, He said, “Let there be light,” and light became (Genesis 1:3). The Word that gave light to the world became flesh, and dwelt amongst us in the person of Jesus.
The Lord Jesus walked the streets of Galilee, Capernaum, and Jerusalem, as the Word in human form. He lived as the Word and did everything He did with and through the Word. He healed the sick with the Word. He raised the dead with the Word, and cast out devils with the Word. He only had to speak words, and miracles ensued.
Recall how He raised Lazarus from the dead, a man who had been dead and buried for four days and who surely must have begun to decompose. When Jesus called out, “…Lazarus, come forth” (John 11:43), the man who had been dead came out alive! How awesome! Jesus lived and triumphed with words, showing us how to live in this world.
When He needed to feed the multitude, and all that was available was a little boy’s lunch (five loaves of bread and two fish), He spoke words (Matthew 14:17-21). He took the loaves of bread and fish, and invoked the power of multiplication into them, and they became more than enough to feed five thousand men, women, and children, not counted, with twelve baskets as leftovers.
He’s given us the same life wherein we triumph with words. He said in Mark 11:23, “You shall have what you say.” You can speak life to your job, finances, health, and family, and cause miracles to happen. When you speak over any situation, your words prevail. You’re a king, and where the word of a king is, there’s power (Ecclesiastes 8:4). Rule your world and dominate circumstances with words.
The Lord Jesus, while He walked this earth, lived such an exemplary life of faith. His confidence and apparent mastery over life’s circumstances is awe inspiring. He dazzled everyone with His extraordinary life of dominion. On a certain occasion, His disciples couldn’t help but ask out loud, in utter amazement: “…What manner of man is this! for he commandeth even the winds and water, and they obey him” (Luke 8:25).
Luke 8:23-24 records for us the occasion that prompted this question from the disciples: “But as they sailed, he fell asleep: and there came down a storm of wind on the lake; and they were filled with water, and were in jeopardy. And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish. Then he arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm.” Observe closely what the Master did: He rebuked the wind and the raging waves; that means He spoke words. He actually said, “…peace, be still” (Mark 4:39), and there was a great calm.
This gives us an insight into how He prevailed over circumstances. He ruled negative circumstances with faith-filled words. He spoke words, and blind eyes opened up, maimed limbs were restored, and deaf ears were unstopped. He spoke, and Lazarus, who was already dead and buried for four days, came back to life. He did all these to show that we can do the same; for as He is, so are we in this world (1 John 4:17).
No wonder He said in John 14:12, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do….” Rise up today and proclaim victory over that unpleasant situation. Proclaim victory in your health, family, finances, business, academics, job, etc. Declare that greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world. Rule and frame your world with faith-filled words, and watch your life move from one degree of glory to another.
He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls (Proverbs 25:28).
The Bible says in 2 Peter 1:5-6, “And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness.” “Temperance” in the scripture above is the Greek word “egkrateia,” which means holding yourself in. It also means self-control; the ability to keep your cool and maintain your composure even when others try to ride roughshod over you.
Imagine you were driving, and a careless driver bumped your car. Instead of apologising, he even got abusive. What would you do? Would you pour invectives at him? Some may even alight from their car to engage in a brawl. No! That’s not for the Christian. Irrespective of the situation, restrain yourself from any form of altercation or bandy of words. This doesn’t mean you’re naïve; rather, you’re simply living out your true nature—the Christ-nature and kingly life in you.
As a Christian, you can’t afford to live carelessly; you must be able to hold yourself in from doing or saying things that could cast a dent in your Christian character. Consciously train yourself to exercise moderation in all things.
An athlete who’s gunning for a new record at the games, for example, can’t afford to live carelessly prior to the games, because it’ll affect his performance. There are things he’d have to endure to keep fit. He may not like some of those things, but because he has his eyes on the prize, he’d have to endure them. This is the picture the Word creates for us in admonishing that you add temperance to your faith.
It’s not okay to do whatever you feel like doing; always hold yourself from within. If you couldn’t do it, God wouldn’t have asked you to. Self-control is in your spirit, and to be activated when the need arises. Someone without self-control is like a city without walls, which the enemy can plunder at any time. Don’t be that way. Fortify yourself, your life, your spirit, against the adversary, and one of the ways to do that is to have rule over your spirit: self-control.
Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth (Proverbs 6:2).
There is a spiritual language for the Christian. That’s why, as a child of God, you ought to practice speaking the Word only, and always, because the supernatural life is based on your tongue. Your tongue rules your life. The Apostle James likened the tongue to the rudder of a great ship, which the captain uses to direct the ship wherever he wants (James 3:4-5).
In Matthew 12:36-37, Jesus said, “But I say unto you, that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the Day of Judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.” Literally, this means a man will go to heaven or hell because of his tongue-work; what he said or didn’t say. The Apostle Paul’s words on salvation in Romans 10:8-10 buttress this: “…if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
Your life is the character of your words. If a man’s words are confusing, his life will be confusing as well. In the same vein, if your words are wholesome, your life will be perfect, excellent, and inspiring. Proverbs 15:4 says, “A wholesome tongue is a tree of life….” Watch your words—your confessions—they control your future. Proverbs 12:18 says, “…the tongue of the wise is health.” You can keep yourself in health, peace, and safety with your words.
Talk faith, success, and increase! 1 Peter 3:10 says, “For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile.” Keeping your lips from evil means keeping them from speaking fear, doubt, and unbelief. If you’ve found yourself in poverty, sickness, or anything that’s contrary to the good life that’s been given to you in Christ, it’s because you’re not using your mouth right. It’s time for you to change things.
The Bible says to let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom and spiritual understanding (Colossians 3:16). Fill your heart with God’s Word and let it come out of your mouth. With the Word in your mouth, you can frame or recreate your world. Keep talking the Word. Keep charting your victorious course through the power of your words.
For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith (Mark 11:23).
Proverbs 6:2 says, “Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth.” This scripture underscores the precarious situation many have found themselves in today. They’ve been taken captive by their negative confessions; bound by their words. However, if you’ve been taught right, you’ll think right, and the result of that is, you’ll talk right. Moreover, when you talk right, you’ll act right. When you talk right and act right, your life will turn out right.
Our confessions rule us. When it comes to words, there’s no such thing as “I didn’t quite mean what I said.” Jesus said you shall have what you say; so don’t say it if you didn’t mean it.
Consciously speak in consonance with the Word always—over your life, finances, business, health, etc. Proverbs 18:20 says, “A man’s belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled.” Here, the scripture isn’t talking about the size of your lips, but the words of wisdom pouring out of your mouth.
Proverbs 18:21 tells us, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” This means you can speak life and reap a harvest of good things. Whatever you believe and voice out with your mouth is what’s going to happen in your life. This is a law of the spirit, and it works, whether or not you believe it.
I was led to connect to you for prayers because I had been having series of health challenges from fibroid Behich has prevented me from getting pregnant after 2years of marriage.
I had also been having pain at my abdomen which after a scan was carried out, a cyst was found blocking my right kidney, and all sort of different discovery which I don't understand.
I thank God that after the prayers I was healed completely. I am six months pregnant now.
The fibroid is gone and that cyst too.
They just disappeared
I have been enjoying good health since.
Glory be to God
I was invited to preach in a foreign country
The protocol officers were supposed to take me straight to the hotel from the airport, but I wanted to see the church and get a feel of the auditorium without the crowd
It helps sometimes to take a walk around the auditorium while praying quietly before one ministers
Especially if you are led by the Holy Spirit to do so
So I told the protocol guys to take me to the church
When we got there, I told them to wait in the car while I took a walk within the main auditorium
They argued a bit, but eventually agreed that I would be fine by myself
I went to into the church auditorium and slowly began my silent prayer walk
When I got to the rear exit of the auditorium, I saw some very beautiful decorations
They were so beautiful and compelling to the point that I felt like touching them
I touched them and several of the carefully arranged flowers fell off
Ha! What sort of trouble is this?
I began to pick them up
A lady came out of nowhere and started helping me to pick them up
I apologised to her and said, "I am willing to pay for the damages, please help me fix this."
She gave me that bombastic side eye
Two other ladies arrived on the scene with brooms in their hands
They began to help pick the flowers and rearrange them
Out of the corner of my eyes, I realised I knew one of them
She was the wife of the pastor who invited me to his church to preach
Ha! Pastor's wife, I screamed
She also recognised me at the same time
Ha! Brother Gbenga, she screamed
What are you doing here with a broom in your hand? I asked
She looked at the other ladies, and they gave us some distance
She said, "I am trusting God for a child, and I made a vow to God that I will keep his house clean until he answers my prayers."
I looked at her intently and said "So you and two other ladies sweep this huge auditorium whenever you have a service?"
She said, "No, sir, they accompany me, but I sweep it all by myself everyday sir. I have been doing this for about six months now."
Wow!
I said, "So how do you get home and give bishop good sex after this sort of manual labour?"
She kept quiet.
I said, "In Jesus name, I relieve you of this vow.
Receive your babies now as a favour from the Lord."
She fell on her knees and shouted Amen.
I signalled the other ladies over and told them that their pastor's wife would no longer be sweeping the church daily.
Their faces lit up.
It must have been daily torture for both of them to watch her labour like that for six months.
The one who gave me a bombastic side eye before, took advantage of the situation and said, "Sir, I am also trusting God to provide me with a husband. I want to be married by this time next year, I am 35 years old sir"
I smiled and said, "For helping me out earlier, whatever you ask of the Lord has been given to you by the power of the Holy Spirit".
She also said Amen.
I prayed for the third lady, too.
The third lady was the Pastor's wife's younger sister. She knelt down so many times, thanking me for setting her and her sister free from the daily labour.
This is the good news I received a year later.
The pastor's wife delivered a set of triplets, the other lady got married and delivered a baby girl, while the pastor's wife's younger sister got married too and delivered a set of twins!
So much good news to share to the Glory of God
PS: I also learnt my lessons about touching decorations when I do my prayer walk.
I now keep my hands to myself.

According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness… (2 Peter 1:3).
Isn’t it wonderful that all that we have, and have been made in Christ Jesus are the results of His divine ability, not ours? We couldn’t do anything for ourselves, and of ourselves to become heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ. We couldn’t, on our own, become more than conquerors, victors and overcomers in life! But His divine power made it possible for us to have, and live this transcendent life.
Since all that we are, all that we have, and all that God did for us in Christ are of His divine power, it means nothing is missing in our lives, because the power with which they were wrought is perfect and unlimited. No wonder the Bible says we’re complete in Christ; there’s nothing missing in your health, in your finances, in your job, your family, etc. Everything about your life is perfect. Hallelujah!
Here’s something else that’s so profound: Besides granting us all that we require for life and godliness through His divine power, God also granted us the same power to live by, by giving us the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit—who is the power of God, and by whom He made all things—lives in you today. Acts 1:8 says, “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you….”
Power is the dynamic ability to cause changes. So like Him, you can do anything. He’s given you the divine ability to sustain yourself in the transcendent life; to walk on water! You can change hopeless situations; you can cause water to spring forth from the desert. What a life! What a Gospel!
Paul, writing to the Corinthians, stated, “Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God” (2 Corinthians 3:5). You have the ability to deliver excellence in every task or assignment that’s committed to you. You have the power to do the unimaginable, the unthinkable, and the impossible: “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us” (Ephesians 3:20).
Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end." (Ephesians 3:20-21).
If there's anything you want God to do for you, the power to make it happen is in you, and not in heaven. Many think that when they need anything, God will stretch His hands from heaven to fix things. No! As a baby Christian who's yet to understand spiritual things, you may relate to God in that manner and get some results, but after a while, you'll have to put away childish things.
It's like what we read about the Apostles in the early Church, when they were being persecuted. They prayed, "And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with boldness they may speak thy word, By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus" (Acts 4:29-30). At this time, they were still maturing in their understanding of the Gospel; it was still a baby church.
We didn't read that God actually "stretched forth His hands from heaven' to do the miracles as they requested. Rather, the Bible says, "And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were_ all filled with the Holy Ghost, _and they spake the word of God with boldness" (Acts 4:31). God's answer was the Holy Spirit whom they had received.
The Holy Spirit is the power of God, and all the power you need for anything. He lives in you. When there's a matter; when there's a need, stir up yourself in the Holy Ghost by taking some time to meditate on the Scriptures and speak in other tongues. As you do, the power of the Spirit in you will be activated.
Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named.
But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us… hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 2:4-6).
To be seated with Christ in the heavenly realms means you’ve been exalted to the highest position of authority, dominion and power. Ephesians 1:21 gives further insight into your exalted position in Christ. It describes where you are as, “Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named….” How profound this is!
The Lord Jesus has been set far above all the different classes of spiritual beings—principalities, powers, might or thrones, dominions and every name that is named—and you’re in Him. The Father set Him in this high place of glory, placed all things under His feet, and legally declared Him to be the head over all things for the benefit of the Church (Ephesians 1:22-23).
The Church is His body; therefore, you’re elevated with Him in glory. Someone might say, “Isn’t that going too far? Should we really think so highly of ourselves?” Emphatically yes! We didn’t ask for it; it’s the result of His grace and love. Read our opening scripture again.
What the Bible says is that you shouldn’t think of yourself more highly than you ought to think (Romans 12:3).
God wants you think highly of yourself but not more highly than you ought to think. In other words, don’t think you’re higher than your fellow brothers or sisters in Christ, because we’re all together in this exalted place in Christ. We’re all equal, and valuable to God. We’re chosen, royal and peculiar.
See how Paul describes it in Ephesians 2:6 AMPC: “And He raised us together with Him and made us sit down together [giving us joint seating with Him] in the heavenly sphere (by virtue of our being] in Christ Jesus (the Messiah, the Anointed One).” Hallelujah! How could you read this and not think highly of yourself? You’re exalted with Him in glory; it’s a joint sitting in the heavenly sphere.
My neighbor used to leave his porch light on every night.
Didn’t matter if NEPA took light 6 times. Didn’t matter if he traveled. That bulb stayed on.
We joked about it. Called it “the lighthouse.”
One rainy night around 2AM, I finally asked him why.
He looked at me and said
Angelic Interractions and The believer
A pastor told a true story some years ago. He said, “Two angels came to me. One was big, tall, a huge fellow. He said, “Come, I want to show you how to heal the sick.” I didn’t know who he was. I knew it was an angel, just didn’t know which one. That angel is the one who goes with me in healing the sick. I followed him through the aisle of a building that looked like a church. He was showing me how to heal the sick. There was another angel behind him who wasn’t saying anything, just carrying out his ministry.
We have to understand there is a realm of the Spirit. It exists, and it is here now. We are part of it because we’re born into it. Every one of you has an angel—at least one. Many of them go with me now. Some are just stationed in certain places. That’s a fact. Very important fact. They bless people.
Kenneth Hagin told a story: Jesus appeared to him one time, and while Jesus was talking, demon spirits came and stood between him and Jesus. Jesus kept talking, but the demons made noise—yak, yak, yak. He wondered, “Doesn’t Jesus know I can’t hear Him anymore? Isn’t He going to do something?” But Jesus kept talking.
Finally, he got aggravated and rebuked the devil, saying, “Get out in Jesus’ name.” The demon fell down, ran off like a little monkey with its tail between its legs. Then Jesus said, “If you hadn’t done something about it, I couldn’t have done anything.”
Jesus explained, “When I came out of the grave and received all authority in heaven and earth, I gave the authority to the church. The authority over demons is with you. If you hadn’t done anything, I couldn’t have done anything about the situation.”
Oral Roberts tells a story of being in the hospital. While there, Jesus appeared and talked to him. A huge, tall angel stood by. Jesus said, “That’s your angel.” After Jesus left, the angel was waiting. The angel said, “Dispatch me.” Roberts asked in the name of Jesus, “I dispatch you,” and the angel went.
I remember the first time I saw an angel in 2005. I was in my second year at Bowen University. I had applied to the chaplaincy to be chosen as a Campus Fellowship Executive Member, even though I was in my second year. Applications were accepted from only third-year students at the time. I was, however, a Student Fellowship leader since my first year, and the fellowship I led was the biggest on campus.
On the day the executive members were to be inaugurated, an angel suddenly appeared to me in the library. I wanted to scream, but no sound came from my mouth; I was just still. This angel stood by my side until a Christian brother walked in and held me by the hand. He led me to the courtyard and began to pray for me. I personally didn’t really fancy this Christian brother that much because of how he conducts himself, and he didn’t really fancy me either.
Yet, the Spirit of God led him straight to me, and the power of God came over me like wildfire that day.
Since then, I have seen angels and had interactions with them so many times. Sometimes, the angel of a believer will have discussions with me about that believer, and the believer himself or herself would have never had any form of interaction with his or an angel before.
This is quite fascinating.
You don’t have to wait to see an angel first; the Bible says they are already there.
The key to living the supernatural life is to believe God wholeheartedly and obey his words. Jesus said blessed are those who believe without demanding proof, like Thomas.
Did God say it? I believe it. I speak it. I act upon it. I tailor my life to walk in it. I do not say I believe and then act contrary to it because of my flesh or senses. I may not see it, but I know it is there, and I believe it is there because God said it is there. I trust and obey the Lord always.
Look at Elisha in 2 Kings. Elijah prayed, “Lord, open his eyes that he may see.” The Lord opened the young man’s eyes, and he saw the mountain full of horses and chariots of fire around Elisha. Elisha was no more protected than we are. Fear deactivates the army of God. When you become afraid, angels do nothing because they wait for your word.
Hebrews chapter 1 shows us angels are ministering spirits sent forth **to minister for those who shall be heirs of salvation**. Not “to them,” but “for them”—they wait for instructions. There are angels all around us, of different kinds and levels. Some minister to God, some minister for God, and some are with us. Jesus said, “Don’t underestimate any of these little ones; their angels see the face of My Father regularly.”
As you grow and obey God, your angel grows with you. More angels may be sent under them. Your angels have been there all along, waiting for you to speak. Sometimes we cry in their presence but don’t act. Peter stepped out of the boat to walk to Jesus. When he looked at the waves, fear gripped him, and he began to sink—even in the presence of Jesus. But Jesus quickly reached him, saying, “Why did you doubt?”
It’s the same today.
There is a real realm of the Spirit, and we are born into it. Every one of us has at least one angel. Some are with us all the time, some are stationed in places. Angels minister, bless, and obey the instructions of God, waiting for us to step into faith and action. This is a place of revelation where the Word of God comes alive, and the reality of the Spirit is unveiled. Our desire is to equip you with faith, wisdom, and understanding so you can walk in the fullness of God’s plan for your life.

Get and Keep Your Healing
• SPEAK LIFE OVER YOUR BODY: “It's absolutely imperative that you speak forth the Word concerning you, because until you do, it will have no power and it won't work.” Death and life are in the power of the tongue (Proverbs 18:21). Instead of saying, I am sick, declare, I am strong, healthy, and full of life.
• MEDITATE ON THE SCRIPTURES: Fill your mind with God’s promises, Jeremiah 30:17, Isaiah 53:5, because “One thing is certain, if you stick to the word, you will come back with a testimony.”
• REJECT FEAR AND DOUBT: 2 Timothy 1:7 says, “God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” Fear and worry hinder not only healing but every good thing that’s coming your way, but faith activates it.
• VISUALIZE YOUR HEALING: See yourself whole, strong, and healthy. The mind responds to images, and what you focus on becomes your reality. “What you see with the eyes of faith is more real than what you see with your optical eyes”. 2 Corinthians 4-18 (NIV)
• STAY JOYFUL: Joy strengthens the body. Nehemiah 8:10 declares, “The joy of the Lord is your strength.” Laughter and gratitude release healing power in your life.
Your thoughts play a crucial role in your healing. Just as the placebo effect proves that belief alone can trigger healing, faith in God’s promises can do even more. Hebrews 11:1 tells us, “Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Even when symptoms persist, maintaining faith-filled thoughts and confessions sets the stage to walk in the reality of divine health. “The way to transform, improve, and upgrade your life is by renewing your mind.”
My initial application for a closed work permit (supported by my Ontario nomination certificate) was refused. Following that, I applied for restoration of status along with another closed work permit, but both were again refused, with instructions for me to leave Canada immediately.
When I contacted Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, I was informed that my only option was to reapply from outside Canada—and even then, there were no guarantees.
At that point, my job was at risk, as I had to stop working immediately due to being out of status.
However, by faith, I applied again—despite being advised otherwise. And to the glory of God, the approvals came through in just a matter of weeks.
To truly understand the magnitude of this miracle: a fresh restoration application can take 9 months or more to be processed—let alone one submitted under such circumstances.
God had spoken repeatedly—both directly to me and through my very lovely brethren in GSWMI—that He would do it.
Then, on Thursday night, I had a vision. I saw GSW walk into my room and say, “I want to pray about these approvals.” After praying with me, he chuckled and made a hand gesture that seemed to indicate, “You’ll get the approvals tomorrow or next week.”
Friday came and went—no email.
Then, during prayers late Friday night into Saturday morning, I remembered testimonies of how God had moved immigration officers to go into the office on a Saturday to attend to people’s files. In that moment, I declared that an officer would go in and work on our files that very day.
By Monday morning, there was still no email. But I held on to that gesture and reminded myself: if not Friday, then it must be this week.
Later that Monday afternoon, I checked my portal—and noticed movement dated Saturday.
Saturday!!!
The very same Saturday I had declared.
That alone strengthened my faith that the approvals would come that week, just as God had said.
Then, to my utter amazement—still with no email—my husband checked the portal again early this morning around 6 a.m. and saw the word:
APPROVED.
And the icing on the cake--on further scrutiny, the approval was actually dated Friday only that the document number was completed today!
Gloooorrryyy!!!
God can absolutely be trusted.
I am in complete awe—I can hardly contain what I’m feeling right now.
