As a 🇳🇬 soldier, I believe we cannot win the war against insurgency without the cooperation of civilians.
Boko Haram had planted landmines along our route. Instead of the villagers warning us that danger was ahead.
What they did was to show us fake love, they thought we won't make it through.
Just a few minutes later, our mine-detection device started beeping. We immediately dismounted and took cover.
Our EOD team eventually dealt with the threat.
That experience taught me something, soldiers need reliable civilian intelligence just as much as civilians need the protection of soldiers.
In the fight against insurgency, information can save lives.
In just 6 days:
1. JPMorgan opens its first African bank in Nigeria ($32m deposited, CBN approved).
2. Madagascar’s richest man brings $450m into Nigeria’s broadcasting.
Nearly $500m investment!
That’s how to grow an economy.
Tinubu’s template is worth studying.
NIGERIA FIRST: PRODUCE AT HOME. CREATE JOBS. BUILD PROSPERITY
1: Gov. @ubasanius is taking the Nigeria First Policy of the President @officialABAT from promise to production
2: The unveiling of the 2026 Peugeot 5008 by @DangotePeugeot sends a powerful message:
-(a): Nigeria’s economic future must be built by Nigerians, powered by local industries, and sustained by the patronage of homegrown products.
3: And the conversation doesn’t stop there, Gov. Uba Sani is taking the Nigeria First agenda to the National Economic Council, pushing for stronger local patronage, greater industrial growth, and policies that translate into real opportunities for Nigerians.
4; The vision is clear:
-(a): MORE JOBS: expanding opportunities for Nigerian workers and young people.
-(b): MORE LOCAL PATRONAGE: creating stronger markets for products made in Nigeria.
-(c): BETTER LIVELIHOODS : ensuring economic growth creates opportunities that reach ordinary households. @clemency47@NADDCouncil@oluosanip@fmitiofficial@OwanEnoh@Rayyan_Tukur@kudu_mubarak@MUBA_OFFICIAL1@Better_Kaduna@BPP_NG@UbaSaniMedia_@InsideKaduna_@YeriTheSGF

I left Ibadan at 4 a.m. to catch a 6:30 a.m. flight to Abuja, followed by a road trip to Kaduna to witness President Bola Tinubu’s campaign flag-off rally. Although these pictures clearly show how tired I was, I am very happy I made it. Kaduna turned up for the Jagaban!
While the opposition are yet to recover from JPMorgan’s ₦50 billion regulatory deposit, Madagascan billionaire Ylias Akbaraly is seeking a $450 million contract to modernise Nigeria’s television and radio infrastructure.
Another busy day for the “investors are fleeing” narratives.
Tinubu’s Re-Election Bid: Opposition Has Offered No Good Policies — Afegbua
If things were so good during Goodluck Jonathan’s administration, why was he defeated? Food may have been cheaper then, but people were still unhappy. In Edo State, we have supported farmers and market women and recently launched new buses, similar to initiatives the President is implementing across states. The opposition will continue to lament, but they have not presented any good policies.
Kazeem Afegbua

JP Morgan Nigeria: CBN has confirmed the appointment of MD and other directors.
2: MD: Adedapo Olagunju.
3: congratulations to him and other employees.

When I called Kaduna for the President on Politics Today a lot kept inboxing me and telling me he will not win! Today defines it all. I believe Gov Uba Sani has made such a huge difference! Southern Kaduna has never had such a sense of belonging! @officialABAT would be happy
TINUBUNOMICS IN ACTION:
1: A Nigerian firm (Lee Engineering) has built compressor stations to help unlock the Escravos–Lagos pipeline’s 2.3 billion cubic feet per day gas capacity in Edo State.
2: The potential impact?
-(a): More jobs, stronger CNG supply to CNG refueling stations, lower transport costs and industrial growth.
3: T- Gain is about turning infrastructure and economic reforms into real opportunities for Nigerians.

I take exception to that nonsense. Don't you dare say that about me. Reward who? Reward who? That's a civil servant. She's a level 17 officer and has worked in INEC all of her life. She was Lagos State admin secretary – didn't Peter Obi win there in 2023?
- Segun Showunmi angrily reacted to a journalist who asked him if his wife, Oluyemi Titilayo Adeyemi-Showunmi, was rewarded due to his inclusion in the APC campaign council, after INEC redeployed her from Lagos Admin Secretary to head Electoral Operations ahead of 2027 presidential election.
I wish I knew Mr. Peter Obi’s thought process when he asked Nigerians in the UK not to remit money home, but there could hardly have been a more spectacular way to advertise the poverty of one’s reasoning. I believe that, beyond the black tax, Nigerians sending money back home are mostly doing so for themselves, either to invest the money or to acquire assets back home.
Even if Nigeria’s economy were growing as fast as a jet engine, remittances would not stop. Other foreign nationals in the UK also rank among the top remittance senders, including nationals of France, Germany and China, whose countries are among the largest economies in the world. The largest remittances out of the UK, according to available data, went to India, followed by Pakistan. Yet you don’t see opposition leaders in India or Pakistan making such absurd utterances, demanding that their countrymen be punished.
This take is similar to that of those who ask for foreign aid to be cut off or sanctions to be imposed on a country without weighing who the beneficiaries are. If you cut off aid, impose sanctions on a country, or stop remittances, who do you think would suffer? It’s definitely not the man in charge of the treasury.
But I am not surprised at all. The image crisis we suffer as a nation is driven, in part, by our politics of self-hate, and by our fellow citizens who are quick to de-market the country but still wonder why they are singled out for nationality profiling and targeted abroad or in foreign-controlled media.
JUST IN: Tinubu has removed the rule forcing federal universities to get special permission before hiring workers. The change is part of the new agreements with university unions. This would make it easier for universities to recruit the staff they need.
University autonomy ✔️
