@damianplockigit @intravenousqry @JustVicquoir And if xqc really wanted to, he could just take Calamity and make a new mod using it's ideas. Addons and related works are okay, it's just the official Calamity mod that's being cancelled.

Also current devs want to move on now. Actually in the event that the legal matters are fixed, anyone is free to use the mod's ideas

The narrative I grasp from the cancellation message is that people are just tired of being betrayed. They believe their time is better spent on other great projects, and it's time to respect that and move on

If there was a chance that the mod could be continued, with the people removing their content choosing instead to stay, I honestly think they'd agree and work on the deal

It will basically set back the mod by a decade. The devs had a choice of continuing with this husk or keeping it frozen to be enjoyed as it is now.

If you're talking about that one guy (forgot the name), they're a MODERATOR, and is in no way tied to the development team

@PoisonslashX @BambooIGuess @bloomjpg Them disagreeing is likely due to more personal reasons rather than "I hate xqc". Calamity is a PASSION project. People who work on it have careers and lives outside of the mod, and the xqc deal just isn't worth it for them.
