Why is Canada and Mark Carney bragging about a government handout that is needed to help people afford to live and eat.

Mark Carney, along with his Minsters, have been posting multiple tweets today about his government’s grocery benefit.

Why would any government celebrate the fact that millions of Canadians (more than 12 million) cannot afford to feed themselves without government assistance?

Shouldn’t the goal be fewer Canadians needing assistance instead of more?
