i swear by the grace of god, allah, hashem, whoever the fuck, if another HAIR is hurt on any of my loved ones i will genuinely K/LL whichever basij bastard dog touches them. these fucking animals need to get tamed by bats and hammers if theres no judicial framework to prosecute them.
does international law exist in moral and legal subjectivism without modes of enforcement? what the fuck even is the point of this all if nothing can ever be done when shit hits the fan? it’s nice and all to talk about a “rules based order” and “state sovereignty” but when youre at the point where the state capacity to protect the lives and rights of its citizenry fails above 51% and the hobbesian state fails, what the hell even should be done? we can’t invoke r2p, we can’t invoke SHIT because it s all a stupid joke
international law as it exists right now serves the intellectual and political class, not the people

Absolutely disgusting behaviour. And note these are the graves of Arab fighters. Kurdish SDF fighters were primarily burried in Kurdish-majority towns.
Syria.
I have also received a firsthand eyewitness account from a contact in Iran describing the beheading of a teenager in Tehran. According to the witness, plainclothes agents traveling in a sedan with a government license plate were involved in committing horrific acts, including the beheading of the teenager. The witness believes the individuals didn’t look foreigner and are most likely from the IRGC’s Qods force.
They call him Iran’s Hodor.
This was not fiction.
An ordinary body pressed against a door,
holding back a regime’s violence
for a few stolen seconds.
No armor.
No weapon.
Only the decision to hold.
He became the pause.

1) It’s amazing how Mehdi’s imaginary version of international law really only restrains the people fighting terrorism, but never the actual terrorists.
2) The idea that Trump voters are against taking out terror leaders has been widely shown to be a nonsensical lie pushed by non-interventionists. They are against full-scale wars w occupations, but that’s not the same thing.
3) I don’t think simply assassinating Khamenei solves the problem, but this isn’t actually true. He is behind countless terrorist acts against Americans, leader of a designated terror group, and has openly declared war on America so taking him out is morally and legally justified if the United States decides it is necessary.
4) They said the same thing about blowback re Israel taking out Nasrallah and U.S. taking out Soleimani. Those turned out to be pretty good decisions.
@sarahadams@POTUS@WhiteHouse steve witkoff is genuinely personally responsible for at least 50% of the foreign policy blunders/disasters of the past 12 months
I am a little weary of the technology behind bitchat though, it is very resistant to censorship and network filtering, but because it relies on devices emitting BLE to relay msgs, it could be detected and devices could be identified as having bitchat rather easily by law enforcement
Professor, thank you so much for speaking out and being a voice for your people inside Iran. You are truly heroic for your actions. It might not be the best to specify who might've given you the info, but I thank you for the information nonetheless. Please be careful if you're still in China (I believe you mentioned you were there?), and I wish you the best.
honestly a big reason I "preferred" trump at the time was because he rallied against incompetency in government and private enterprise, but it's so ironic that many of trump's picks are objectively even more incompetent and worse than Biden's. we went from "okay I don't like these guys and I think they're not doing their jobs properly" straight to "genuinely who is this guy and how is he qualified at ALL to even work as an INTERN in this field, let alone be in the cabinet or a senior advisor/envoy"
trump has already lost credibility in my books for encouraging the protestors to go even harder since the us is "locked and loaded" and "ready to help!"
EVEN IF our lack of action is because we lack the assets in place to strike effectively, we should've waited until we were actually ready to make such public statements. trump is so rhetorically irresponsible in these regards. I still hope he chooses to act, but lives have undoubtedly been lost because of this.
