@lisamurkowski Poor excuse to justify not supporting it! ID is required for nearly everything we do in this country so why is voter ID any different? Let’s not forget that there is a good percentage of people that CHOOSE not to even vote so I call bullshit!!
People that live in Michigan don’t need to have our Governor and any other politicians informing us on the health implications and/or how to supposedly stay safe in this BS…… put your big boy/girl pants on and slap the inept morons in the Canadian government around to get the crap to stop!!! Do what you were elected to do!!! Show at least a resemblance of a leadership skill and put this yearly smoke signal demonstration to its end!!!
@jesseRoss597206 EPA website says this is condensation. Where was this “condensation” years ago? What, is airplane fuel different? The air different? I’m calling BS!! Ever look at your car after a rain, looks like a coat of dirt. What is being dropped on us?
Michigan Senator Mallory McMorrow reveals companies are using dynamic algorithmic pricing to charge Americans more based on your data
She says this is even being used to increase rents
- A $240 flight to Florida increased to $423 because you looked twice
- Uber pricing doubled because phone battery was below 20%
“Usually it's about 18 bucks, but oh, the app knows that your phone battery is low, so it's double the price.
Companies are using algorithmic pricing tools to study your personal data and charge you exactly what they think you'll pay.
This is called surveillance pricing, and it means that companies can charge you completely different prices for the exact same thing, and it's not just happening to consumers.
Some companies are now using similar algorithms to track workers and decide their wages, hours, and schedules, even their locations
— My plan bans companies from setting personalized prices based on your data — It protects all workers, including gig workers and contractors from algorithmic wage discrimination, and it cracks down on companies using these systems to coordinate things like higher rents and insurance premiums, because the economy shouldn't be a rigged game.”
This is probably the best answer I've ever heard to the question, "Why did God create evil?"
A professor at the university asked his students the following question:
“Everything that exists was created by God?”
One student bravely answered:
“Yes, it was created by God.”
The professor asked :
“If God created everything, then God created evil, since it exists. And according to the principle that our deeds define ourselves, then God is evil.”
The student became silent after hearing such an answer. The professor was very pleased with himself. He boasted to students for proving once again that faith in God is a myth.
Another student raised his hand and said:
“Can I ask you a question, professor?”
"Of course," replied the professor.
“Professor, is cold a thing?”
“What kind of question is this? Of course it exists. Have you ever been cold?”
Students laughed at the young man's question.
The young man answered:
“Actually, sir, cold doesn't exist. According to the laws of physics, what we consider cold is actually the absence of heat. A person or object can be studied on whether it has or transmits energy.
Absolute zero (-460 degrees Fahrenheit) is a complete absence of heat. All matter becomes inert and unable to react at this temperature. Cold does not exist. We created this word to describe what we feel in the absence of heat.”
The student continued:
“Professor, does darkness exist?”
“Of course it exists.” said the professor.
“You're wrong again, sir. Darkness also does not exist. Darkness is actually the absence of light. We can study the light but not the darkness. We can use Newton's prism to spread white light across multiple colors and explore the different wavelengths of each color. You can't measure darkness. A simple ray of light can break into the world of darkness and illuminate it. How can you tell how dark a certain space is? You measure how much light is presented. Isn't it so? Darkness is a term man uses to describe what happens in the absence of light.”
In the end, the young man asked the professor:
“Sir, does evil exist?”
This time it was uncertain, the professor answered:
“Of course, as I said before. We see him every day. Cruelty, numerous crimes and violence throughout the world. These examples are nothing but a manifestation of evil.”
To this, the student answered:
“Evil does not exist, sir, or at least it does not exist for itself. Evil is simply the absence of God. It is like darkness and cold—a man-made word to describe the absence of God. God did not create evil. Evil is not faith or love, which exist as light and warmth. Evil is the result of the absence of Divine love in the human heart. It’s the kind of cold that comes when there is no heat, or the kind of darkness that comes when there’s no light.”

If the reporter “didn’t want to take anything away from this moment” then why did he ask such a ridiculus question? Quite obvious the reporter has never played competitive ice hockey and won any tournament with a brotherhood of teammates to have any idea the level of accomplishment and emotion these men are experiencing after competing against the best of the best in the world!!!
"It's not the police who need to be retrained, it's the public. We have grown into a mouthy, mobile phone wielding, vulgar, uncivil society with no personal responsibility and the attitude of 'it's the other person's fault, you owe me'. A society where children grow up with no boundaries or knowledge or concern for civil society and personal responsibility.
When an officer says "Put your hands up," then put your hands up! Don't reach for something in your pocket, your lap, your seat. There's plenty of reason for a police officer to feel threatened, there have been multiple assaults and ambushes on police officers lately. Comply with requests from the officer, have your day in court. Don't mouth off, or fight, or refuse to comply... that escalates the situation.
Police officers are our sons and daughters, fathers and mothers, brothers and sisters. They're black, white, brown, all colors, all ethnicities, all faiths, male and female, they are us. They see the worst side of humanity... the raped children, the bloody mangled bodies of traffic victims, the bruised and battered victims of domestic violence, homicide victims, body parts... day after day.
They work holidays while we have festive meals with our families. They miss school events with their kids, birthdays, anniversaries, all those special occasions that we take for granted. They work in all types of weather, under dangerous conditions, for relatively low pay.
They have extensive training, but they are human. When there are numerous attacks on them, they become hyper vigilant for a reason, they have become targets. When a police officer encounters any person... any person, whether at a traffic stop, a street confrontation, an arrest, whatever... that situation has the potential to become life threatening. You, Mr & Mrs/Miss Civilian, also have the responsibility of keeping the situation from getting out of control.
Many law enforcement officers are Veterans. They've been in service to this nation most of their lives, whether on the battlefield or protecting us here at home. They are the only thing that stands between us and anarchy in the streets.
If you want to protect your child, teach them respect."
~ Sheriff David Clarke
So let us all take this in and try and understand this…….. a person given the position of the chief law enforcement officer of a major city in the US that leads subordinate officers is telling those subordinates to ignore Federal law in the US ??
How exactly does this protect the citizens of Detroit?
So when a driver blows through a red-light is he afforded this same justification that he can simply choose which laws to abide by?
I understand police have a chain of command, however GOD created “man” (and women) with brains and a conscience to hopefully guide them into making the right character decisions when on the job, even if it means going against those in leadership that choose not to follow the laws that they swore to uphold. That presents a crossroad for those officers on the street as to whether their own character is best used in the City of Detroit or maybe another city has leaders that align more with their character.
Evil has many heads in today’s world, what a shame!!!!

It’s supposed to be an honor to play for Team USA, not a soundboard for individualistic, selfish athletes! Shameful that they are so easily corrupted in their allegiance to the very best country in the world!
The Coach of the U.S. Olympic team needs to stop whatever they’re doing and sit the entire Olympic team down (ALL OF THEM!) and show them this two minute clip to remind them who they represent.
Instead of being a bunch of primadonnas.
Thank you @paratroopbrady

@mattgaetz Trying to figure out why this “Super Bowl” has any importance to anyone that is not a fan of either of the teams in it? Other than squares and gambling? Think I’ll go paint a wall and watch it dry instead. And this comes from an avid sports fan!
@theblaze To the skiers…… try overstaying your welcome in the foreign country that you are presently competing in and see how you are treated! You would be deported!!
