Someone had to take home the caterpillars over the long holiday weekend. Feeding and releasing was a must. In doing so we found out that people aren't the only ones interested in these beautiful creatures!

Our little experiment has taken on a whole new adventure. So we have moved on from merely observing the caterpillars eating and transforming into butterflies.

One more butterfly today. It was an early morning hatch but then an afternoon release. Since it was definitely ready to fly we had Terri release out her window. This has been such fun to be able to let everyone have a turn releasing! — feeling fantastic

Today we had two Monarch's ready to test their wings. KB staff was there to celebrate their maiden flights! We have several Chrysalis and caterpillars still to become butterflies. What a fun... https://t.co/CEUROPF3N8

Second one to be released. The only pictures of it are in the habitat. It flew as soon as it was open. Fly away butterfly! We'll get pictures of the next one! We have a lot more to go!
